Venit Barra Hotel

This was easily the worst hotel stay I’ve had in a long time. The experience was disappointing from beginning to end. The staff were consistently rude, unprofessional, and clearly lacked any proper training or management oversight. At several moments it felt almost absurd how poorly everything was handled. Check-in was slow and disorganized, and the room I received was extremely small—far below expectations based on the listing. The location is also inconvenient, with nothing nearby except a few grocery stores, which made the stay even less enjoyable. Overall, the service, environment, and management were unacceptable. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Good option on barra da Tijuca, near supermarket and to some atractions, to go to the beach it will be a taxi ride. Breakfast was good. Parking is paid

The room I stayed in was not cleaned well—dirty light switches, door, and nightstand; a broken shower door handle; very dusty all around; and little ants around the room. I stayed one night. The front desk staff were great and understanding of the situation.

Great hotel if you don’t mind staying away from all major attractions and far from downtown.

It was terrible. I had never seen this type of bad service before. I don’t think this is 4 stars hotel.

Filthy room, has roaches.

This is a really nice hotel. Make sure to change money over because USD don't work here in Brazil

We had a great stay at Venit hotel. The staff was super friendly and responded to all of our needs. We had a few disappointments when we asked for a toothbrush or an iron as hotels usually have those on hand but still had a great experience. The hotel is a bit further than most activities but Ubers are usually affordable. There’s a great burger place nearby and supermarkets in case you may need something. Would stay again.

Very few speak English. But was able to communicate with other people who stay at the hotel that speak English in Portuguese

Very nice place. Everything was good until morning. Housekeeper arrived without checking cleaning list. Housekeeper didn’t knock or announce housekeeper. It was only 1100 hrs. Housekeeper unlocked door and proceeded to push door even with second security lock in position. She pushed door with force, ripping the door, from the lock. We thought we were being robbed. We did not who was trying to come into our room. My wife is still in shock even after we left hotel. Having an anxiety episode. We yelled out from the bed and the housekeeper never responded. She closed door without responding. The head of the bed was locked from door view. We we try to leave the room we had difficulty opening the door to exit. I had to move the would frame piece around and lift off the lock. What a crazy mess. When we went check out, staff was rude. Made me feel it was my fault. I noticed they were calling on the two way radio to let housekeepers know which rooms were cleared from check out. So, why was our housekeeper not informed of room still being occupied?

Great place and amazing staff

Worst hotel in Rio. I stay in hotels 13/14 days of the month. Worst experience ever. The regular hotel I stay in Rio was booked like many this week due to the Taylor swift concert Big mistake staying at this. The bread from the breakfast you could break a window with. The steak from the lunch burnt and black and waiters tried to tell me I had to eat. Needed to call a second waiter that was shocked and asked the kitchen to make another one. Room cleaning doesn’t exist. They say it will be done but never got done. Front reception person was nice and in shock it wasn’t done. So stay away horrible service horrible conditions

Overall was very good. We got there early and they got us in our room. Just didn’t like that there was no iron in the room. We needed an iron and didn’t have access to ine

Room door didnt work multiple times wasted time waiting for them to switch our rooms, got new rooms and after going to the rest room I turn on the sink and the water is coming out yellow

Very clean , right across the Jenesse arena, no nice restaurants around but the hotel has 24 hours room service! And a supermarket next to it.
