Location is great and staff there is very helpful.

We stayed here for a night on our tour of Bulgaria and Romania. It was conveniently located, was modern and very clean. The room didn't have great sound insulation but the others in the hotel were quiet so we never had an issue. We just noted it when we were in the room that we could hear people outside quite well. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel and the staff was very attentive.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, nice property, excellent value for money

Set at the bottom of the old town, and very close to an area of bars and restaurants, this was perfectly placed. The rooms were a very good size and immaculately clean. They even had a mini bar in the rooms if required with snacks and drinks (soft and alcohol) Breakfast was free with our stay and was fresh and plentiful.

Family of 4 stayed here August 2025. The room was excellent, just be aware I don’t think there is an elevator (I may be wrong). The character of the building with Byzantine-era walls was outstanding. Good breakfast. EXCELLENT location for Old Town Plovdiv. Staff was super-helpful with sorting parking. Great communication prior to the stay. 10/19 - highly recommended! One of the best places I have ever stayed. I know that not a lot of guests read the information the hotels put in our rooms, but this one is worth reading. There are recommendations for local restaurants, which me and my partner did try and could not fault. If anyone is interested in the history of the house you can find a lot of interesting information about it on the last pages about the building of the house and its history in the past. The location is perfect, as it's located right between Kapana and the Old Town of Plovdiv. The staff were very friendly and although there wasn't any parking available in the surrounding car parks, the staff were able to find a space for me on the street in front of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and shower was good. Me and my partner liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra night. Despite the fact the room we had booked originally was taken by other guests for our extra night, the staff were able to find another room for us. Since they weren't sure when the guests from the our new room would depart, they offered to help and take our luggage for us from the old room and place it in the new room so we don't miss out on anything from our plans for the day and wait around. The breakfast was very tasty and with lots of various dishes, fruits and beverages. Overall me and my partner were very happy and pleased with the hospitality of the team in HillHouse Plovdiv.

Good location

Great location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Hotel is located on a quiet street and free street parking available every time we went. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. When we go to the city we keep booking this place if not available than we have a second option near by this location.

Comfortable room, great location, good airco n much appreciated as temperature well over 30C for some of our stay. Receptionist recommended free local walking tour - do take at least one: they're great! Decent tips on those expected if (but only if) you can afford it. Have good walking shoes.
