Room was pretty and hotel is very conveniently located. Cleaning/housekeeping was spotless. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant downstairs serves delicious food, good value, and staff are great. We thoroughly enjoyed a weekend in Sofia - there was plenty to do in terms of sightseeing, shopping, dining etc, and we found it much less expensive than most other European capitals. Highly recommended taking a walking tour with a local to see some hidden gems. On the other side of things - some aspects of the hotel are run down/poorly maintained. The elevator wasn’t working, black out curtains couldn’t be properly closed, shower heads weren’t working as they should, and the air con was weirdly located so one side of the room was freezing while the other was very hot.

The room was huge compared to so many European hotels. Being on the pedestrian street was amazing and the room was quiet. Sofia is a beautiful and vibrant city and this hotel is the perfect place to explore it from.

I almost cancelled this reservation because of a review on here and I am so glad I didn't. Perfect location and I thought the room was lovely. The breakfast was more than enough, I am not sure why someone said they never got filled up. I ordered the club sandwich and it came with 4 sandwich halves and fried potatoes. I guess 2 sandwiches doesn't fill up everyone. Even the other options I could never finish. The only negative I can say is the staff was very cold, but I am used to that so it doesn't bother me.

The hotel was located in a great area. The staff were great and helpful and it was very clean. The only problem is with the design of the room the bathroom door and the wall to the sleeping area is all glass. Unless you are using the room as a honeymoon room you would be inconvenienced. When showering and using the bathroom you are doing it in clear view of whoever else is staying in the room with you. I don’t know who came up with the design but I know he missed the point. When you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you are best to find your way in the dark. Once you turn the light to the bathroom your whole room becomes lit due to glass wall and door. Ridiculous.
