7 West Motel

The staff was amazing. Easy check in and check out. Just what we needed. Good price.

Good service

The staff I interacted with were helpful and pleasant but my main concern was the level of cleaning done. There was large bits of old food and garbage under the beds (quarter sized) and there was hair throughout the sheets.

There are only a few options for hotels / motels in Carleton Place. This one was much cheaper than the Comfort Inn, and since I just needed a place to sleep, decided to try it. Paid $100 for a Friday night and I slept fine. But the bathroom and sink area were not great. Lots of rust and decay. Couldn't get the tv remote to work. I could turn it on with the button on the side of the tv, but the side buttons would not change the channels. Since I only wanted to sleep, it wasn't a big deal. Handy to have a little fridge in the room.

Staff courteous. Added amenities would be nice. Close to everything.

Nice place

Look sadly the place is old and in rough shape. Racoon was crawling on the roof in the middle of the night which initially scared me when it woke me up. Floors were so dirty. Price is okay and the owner was trying but he did want more money for a second room choice. We stayed but will not be back.

Room was well made

I personally would not return or recommend using this motel. First room had banana beds and needed a lot of work to spruce it up. Second room was better but not as advertised.

Simple motel room but had everything needed, clean and comfortable. Very friendly host who kindly upgraded us. We will stay again next time we are passing through.

Clean, quiet room. Buildings need some noticeable maintenance, but doesn't affect the quality of the room. Kitchen in the room was great. Just needs a few items such as a dish cloth, dish towels, dish soap, paper towel. Things to help guests tidy up. Beds are a bit too firm and the room was overly warm for what we country folks are used to but no thermostat in the room makes it difficult to regulate. Overall, we had a pleasant weekend stay and would recommend anyone needing a decently priced room to stay at the 7 West motel.

The property is dated. It in need of an upgrade new bedding flooring. Good value though can’t complain about that.

Conveniently located

Not one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at. Room wasn’t very nice or clean obviously the bedding hadn’t been changed since the last person stayed there were a pair of socks under the sheets at the end of the bed that weren’t mine. But was a cheap place to stay. Never again.

The water was coming slow in shower. Else the Motel is decent for 1 night stay for sure in such rate.

The bathroom had cracked tiles, the tub and sink faucets we're rusty, there was hair on the counter by the sink. The sink was old and enamel was peeling off. Looked like mold around the tub surround. There was electrical cords plugged into power bars running the tv and microwave. Wouldnt recommend it.

Good inexpensive motel right on highway number 7 in Carleton Place.Older motel with charm, nicely decorated with period furnishings all in decent shape.The owner was extremely helpful and friendly.Inexpensive compared to surrounding accommodations.

Overall, our stay was fine. The facility is dated, but tidy. Our room was a newer renovated studio kitchenette (in a separate building). It was clean. The beds were a bit harder than we are used to, but we slept ok. The only real discomfort we had was the room temp. The heat was on, and there was no available AC, making the room quite warm. The window dod not have a screen, so we did not feel comfortable leaving it open all night. Overall, if you are looking for a budget friendly, tidy, basic room, Motel 7 fits the bill. Alex, at reception, is friendly and enthusiastic, and wanting your stay to be comfortable. Yes, the place could use lots of upgrades, but we didn't pay for the Ritz. We had a decent sleep, and a great shower, for a low price.

The guy at the front was super friendly and cracked a few jokes made it more personal. Rooms were small but clean
