Basecamp Suites Canmore

Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, had an excellent location in the centre of town, parking and amazing communication! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

I’ve stayed at all the basecamp locations and usually have good things to say, but this is the third time i’ve stayed at the suites and i won’t be booking this location again. The hot tub has been closed every time - for different reasons but consistently they have problems keeping it open. Check in / check out was also not smooth, I had to go to a different location to get a key because their keypads weren’t working for the rooms, and on check out there wasn’t anyone in the office to return the key. Small things, but things you dont want to be dealing with on a trip.

Everything was great. From checkin to checkout everything was smooth going. The suite was clean and spacious. We stayed in the 3 bedroom bunk suite with my husband, myself, our 4 children and our in laws and it was perfect. The location was also very nice. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to go. Communication with the staff was very good too, we were almost out of coffee and I messaged them and within a half hour they were at our door with more coffee. The views from the hot tub were amazing also. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend.

Great room and amenities. Clean and inviting space. Only confusion is that I had to go to another facility to pick up the key as the digital system wasn’t working. It was also unclear that I had booked a micro suit which do not include parking.

This was the perfect room for me and my bestie to come and celebrate our birthdays! The two bathrooms were a lovely treat for getting ready in the mornings. It was very clean and the in house laundry was perfect! Would definitely stay again!

Great location and layout. Great kitchen set up - fantastic to make some meals there. Very comfy bed. Great cost for a day or two stay. It is not well built (wood frame, no insulation) so very loud. We went during quiet season so not terrible but prepare to hear all your neighbours very clearly as they move about including showering and all. Bring earplugs for nighttime if you need that. It’s really what it says - a basecamp. It’s not a place you would want to hang out much due to noise and pure view of a parking lot (had to keep blinds closed the entire time). As it is newer it was generally in good shape. But you can see how it will be very dirty and not maintained in the near future. I found it already showing signs like dirty floors (comers full of hair) broken bathroom fixtures, lots of scuffs. They also did not have the hot tub open as said in the morning. They were nice and apologized but it meant we waited around an hour and then had to change our plans anyways because they couldn’t say when the hot tub would open. You really don’t see people on site to get help in the mornings. Overall great layout and location but not great service and not as clean as I would want and could get very loud when busy. I maybe would stay here for convenience and good off season price.

Really beautiful suite, parking right outside our door. Loved it!

We had a family of 5 including 3 teenagers. We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite and had plenty of room. The dining area was well set-up for all of us. Location is within easy walking distance to downtown, many restaurants and other amenities. we really enjoyed our stay.

It was different no staff just email and text to get in.

The rooms were a good size and clean. The hot tub and area were in great working condition. The building and structures were clean and easily accessible. The location was phenomenal for my friends and I. Please take a look at fixing the shower pull in the guest bathroom and the door handle was really loose. Those were our only 2 concerns. Thanks for a fabulous stay.
