I have to say, we went in with low expectations as other hotels were sold out for the hockey games. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel rooms (we had two) were very clean and smelt fresh. Yes, they are dated, but everything worked and was in decent condition. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. For the price, I’d absolutely stay again. The parking lot was a bit messy, but I’ll caulk this up to the snow just melting and they haven’t had a chance to clean it yet.

This is a very tired and run down motel. The carpets are old and grungy. It looks like there hasn’t been a dime spent on this facility in 25 or more years. Needs a total makeover. The beds thankfully were clean.

Breakfast was a joke, toast and over boiled eggs ....nothing sanitized, coffee was nasty , dont recommend eating anything there . Rooms meh ok , shower very touching one minute your burning next freezing , in a pinch in ok place . Wont go back

While booking my trip I mistakenly booked two hotels on the same night. My booking agent couldn’t seem to change the dates for me but when I arrived at the Bluebird hotel the manager was extremely nice and had everything fixed up in a couple minutes. I would definitely recommend the Bluebird hotel in Melfort.
