Bright 4-Bedroom in Forest Hill

The space fit our needs, was in a good neighborhood and was pricey but not too far off market value. The apartment was clean on first inspection but time revealed neglected surfaces under furniture and unwashed linen. Two of our guests left early due to dog hair and dander on their duvet. The TV is not cable as advertised but a chrome cast required screen. A couple of hours were wasted uploading the appropriate apps and it still didn’t work. All said we would rent again due to the desirability of the location

Horrible experience in this suite and with the property management company, Quickstay. Your stay really depends on the behaviour of the other tenants in the building because Quickstay is pretty useless in dealing with issues. The building looked like it’s originally a detached home and poorly converted into multiple apartment suites. The main door for each suite is a flimsy interior door. There is also only one central heating system for the whole building. When we checked in the hallway reeked of weed. Because the suite’s doors are crap eventually the weed smell leaked into our unit. Quickstay said they spoke to their other rental units about the smoking but overall cannot stop them from smoking in a non-smoking apartment... The building was cold as well. Quickstay left us a heater outside our suite while we were out. When we returned the heater was gone. We end up buying our own heater but it tripped a fuse (not a breaker), resulting a lost of power in 3 bedrooms, hallway light and the washroom in our suite. We asked Quickstay to find us another location to stay in, which they didn’t. All our issues were responded with “we will deal with the issues tomorrow.” (These conversations were between 4 pm - 1130 pm). We end up leaving within the first night because we were beyond frustrated with the whole situation.

Overall it was great. The space was lovely. My son thought it looked like the Sims:) No real issues. Minor things. Could have used : -a small knife -a toaster -a sieve or colander —there was no toilet paper, an oversight need to be sure that is on a checklist The top sheet was microfibre which I find sweaty and uncomfortable but my son was fine with it.
