Hotel and staff very nice. Main downtown neighborhood is several miles away and parking is difficult. The hotel’s boardwalk was closed for safety reasons. The adult pool had guest towels on unoccupied chairs. Not enough shade. Kids were having a great time in the family pool. All in all a nice stay for one night in Kelowna.

This is an old property, but well maintained and very clean. The bathroom is clean and also well maintained but not modern. It’s basic with a bathtub and shower curtain. Staff is friendly and courteous. The beach view is limited but there. The pool is nice, but the lounges are not very comfortable and should be replaced. Towels are plentiful. The hotel is solid but by no means luxurious.

I was disappointed with my experience at Hotel Eldorado Resort. Before our stay, I received a message through the Expedia app asking me to provide information and any special requests. I replied to the message and specifically mentioned that we were travelling to celebrate my wife’s birthday, hoping that the hotel might be able to arrange something special. However, when we arrived at the reception, the staff had no information about our requests. I was told that because Expedia is a third-party booking platform, another department handles those messages and the hotel had not been informed. This was disappointing, especially since I had taken the time to respond to the hotel’s message through the Expedia app. Regarding cleanliness, I understand that the building is older and I did not expect a brand-new property. However, the room did not feel properly cleaned. The bedding and pillowcases were not comfortable, and the bed itself was also not comfortable, which made the stay less enjoyable. Overall, I expected a better experience, especially for a special occasion such as my wife’s birthday. The hotel has a beautiful location and a lot of potential, but the communication between Expedia and the hotel, as well as the cleanliness and comfort of the room, need significant improvement.

Lovely location, beautifully designed to preserve the history. Our room was comfortable and the beds were great! The pools were a little nippy! But the rented cabana was delightful, highly recommend upgrading for that experience. My one disappointment was the food at both locations was not my favourite. Breakfast was good but I had to send eggs back multiple days as they were under cooked or ice cold. Our dinner at Mateos was a stunning location but we didn't enjoy the food we ordered and we were honest about that to our server. There was no trying to improve upon that or seeing if we would be interested in something else. Then a late night appy at the main restaurant was also a let down, we ordered lettuce wraps and they were beyond spicy. This time our server and manager tried to make it right and it was a lovely night. I would stay again! But I'd likely eat out of the resort a bit more.
