James Bay Inn Hotel & Suites

It is an older property but nicely renovated, clean and comfortable. The restaurant and pub were excellent- good food and drink. Began to understand a lot of regulars go there and support it. Very nice and quiet atmosphere.

It was all wonderful .The lobby was amazing andvthe staff welcoming. The restaurant had good food.I loved looking at all the amazing antique furniture. I felt on the floor like i was walking around in a great ship .i checked out the other floors and sat in the hallway writing on a nice wingback chair and nice table and lamps throughout It was nice to grab a coffee in the lobby in the morning.And just enjoy the surrounding

While it is an older building with some creaky floors its very clean, quaint and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to another visit in the future.

A Fabulous little hotel with some old world charm in a Grat location for everything Victoria. Very clean and comfortable in a cozy sort of Way. Shout out to the staff for making me laugh. Well Done and will look to return anytime we are in Victoria.

I loved the antiques and Emily Carr pictures. Coffee and lemon water in lobby. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about area.

We've stayed at James Bay Inn before & just love the quaintness, old style decor, comfy beds, cleanliness & friendly staff...! Downside for some may be the lack of elevators, stairs only...

We are a retired couple who enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at the James Bay Inn Hotel and Suites. Our stay was at the end of January into February. We had a corner room with lots of big windows on the third floor with a comfy king bed. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The pub & restaurant downstairs were convenient & we found the food very good for a fair price. Service was excellent! It is important to note this beautiful heritage property has characters, history, and has been kept up well. Since it is a heritage property be aware that there are stairs and no elevator. We had no trouble but anyone with issues climbing stairs should ask staff about assistance with luggage if possible or request a room on a lower floor. We found our room cozy even with the cool/colder weather conditions outside and with an extra blanket provided in a dresser drawer in the room. Heating is by radiators. We appreciated that our room had plenty of drawers, hooks, and a spacious bathroom which appeared to have been recently renovated. Lots of hot water and great water pressure! We enjoyed several cups of coffee in the spacious lobby as well as the lemon infused water also available in the lobby. Guests who appreciate a well-cared for heritage property and a friendly welcoming staff, would surely enjoy staying at the James Bay Inn. We hope to return!

VERY comfortable suite with well equipped spotless full kitchen, excellent bed. The Lobby is a lovely early 1900’s era space with complimentary morning coffee. Good parking on site. Pub with darts and pool table in basement.

James Bay inn is a beautiful character hotel, great service from front desk.

Very quaint older home in an amazing location. Full upper floor of home with kitchen, full driveway for parking, and gas fireplace in living room. Extremely comfortable beds and couch.

I stayed for three nights. The area is central but not busy. Walking distance to downtown. Great pub and restaurant attached. All of the staff members I met were very friendly and helpful. The room was a little small but fine for one person. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and a good size. I would definitely stay again.

Feels like walking into an old Quentin Tarantino filming location. Great vibe to the place with personable and friendly staff. The breakfast at the restaurant is great.
