The room was terrible.
We had a queen room but the bed was a double.
The room had a really bad smell of old carpets. There were old carpets and other other carpets on top of those.
The bathroom was disgusting-old linoleum floors with the bathtub with numerous painted patched up areas- we didn’t use it !
The property is not well maintained. Again truly disappointed
Also the air conditioner was very loud and it too old. Basically everything needs an upgrade!

Kennedy House located in St. Andrews by the Sea N.B., is perfectly located on Water Street beside the Town Hall and across from Market Square and the main pier. It's a historic building proud of it's heritage. Beautiful front porch used by the restaurant. Good indoor restaurant and bar area with one of the most reasonable lobster dinners in town. Restaurant typically open 12-9 p.m. and often has evening entertainment. Staff is terrific. Front desk is not 24 hour and as such the front doors are locked overnight which is a good idea.
Our room was huge with bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and kitchenette. A generous space well beyond normal hotels. The location of our room was very quiet and pleasant. However, I believe our room could do with some TLC.
After I dropped something under the bed, I discovered that it was being supported by 3 wooden cross braces held and supported in place by 4x4 timers. The other areas sagged significantly. We had an old basic window air conditioner that cooled but did not seem to dehumidify. Installation wasn't great as I could see daylight all around. I discovered that our sitting room carpet was screwed to the floor through the middle...found this when I knelt down and cut my knee on a screw. head. Toilet seat was not properly secured and the shower had a crack in the wall along with what appeared to be some mold where the shower walls met the top of the tub. Overall a great spot and I hope our room was just an exception.

Just stayed one night in St Andrew’s NB coming back from Nova Scotia. Staff very helpful and nice to have convenient parking on site. Dinner was great and my room was wonderful! Do not hesitate to book the Kennedy House!

Old building but really neat and historical looking. We got a single room, which had a double bed and a small couch. The bathroom is small. No way two people could get ready at one time. It has a really cool bar/restaurant which is super convenient; however, the World Cup was going on, so the bar was packed and SO LOUD! We were on the first floor, right above the bar, and you could hear everything. They also had live music (one guy with a guitar), which was also pretty loud. Thankfully, both things got over relatively early. Speaking of loud, the window fan is very noisy, and we only had it set on 2 out of 10. Overall, I would recommend it for the location and the on-site bar/restaurant, which also has a great patio. It has on-site parking, which was great. I really loved the way the building is set up with the bar/restaurant/patio. I might request a room on a higher floor, just because of the noise.

The Kennedy House was built in 1885 so although plumbing, electrical and furnishings have been upgraded it is a rustic establishment with great character, a good casual restaurant and a popular lively bar. They have parking (a rarity in the area), an elevator and friendly staff. We were given an upgrade upon arrival and after departure my wife realized she had left her valuable earrings in our room. When we phoned the hotel they confirmed that they had the earrings and would mail them to us! The hotel is centrally located on the Main Street making all attractions within walking distance.

Very disappointing!! The only good thing I can say was the location to restaurants and shops.
We are all about historic charm but the place was very run down and in need of some basic repairs. Our room was dark and the furniture was worn and bed like a hammock. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!
