Les Chalets du Trappeur avec Spa et Sauna

What a fantastic treehouse surprise! Absolutely beautiful and truly in the forest but steps away from a lovely sauna and hot tub, and the nicest host even has four laying hens! The route we took included some 1-2km twisty dirt road and felt like a real adventure. We stayed here for a romantic birthday two night stay while taking an excellent blacksmithing course at nearby Vans Blacksmithing in Hawkesbury, and stayed another day for open forge time. Will definitely come again! Nice extra touch- the lovely host had a bundle of compressed wood logs for us and we immediately had a cosy fire in the cabin. When we got to the sauna, there was a full changing area with fresh robes, slippers, and water with dipper. Excellent!!!!

Overall, our stay was great. Very relaxed, host was very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent.

We were impressed with the area and the hotel. Our room was a little cool but there was an extra blanket.The breakfast was exceptional. We will brush up on our French if we go again. It was hard to ask questions of the inn keeper as his English was as poor as our French. We were attending a wedding on Saturday and it was lovely to linger over breakfast, going for a walk then getting ready for the late afternoon wedding.

IT was a wonderfull stay. A special highlight on the table d'hôte. The breakfast and diner was all home made and fine french cuisine. The hosts are extremely nice people.

I was looking for a place to stay near Lachute, Quebec for family visiting and came across this place by accident and decided to try this place out. My Wife and I rented a 4-6 person Chalet. The Chalet we stayed in was well beyond our expectations, rustic yet fully equipped! We could not believe how comfortable and enjoyable our stay was. My sisters came to stay for two nights of our four night stay. They couldn't believe this place either. We even had my parents (89 years) and my brother and wife over for Lunch with my sisters. It could not have been better. We could not take advantage of small intimate restaurant during our stay, but I have little doubt concerning the quality. We will be definitely staying at this place again. Only thing to be aware of is that there are no telephones in the Chalets and there is no cell phone coverage. However, a telephone is available at the office if you need it. I highly recommend you make reservations early for the summer and fall months.

Très accueillant, très bien placé pour les personnes qui aiment les grands espaces et la nature. Les repas du soir sont a conseiller car le patron est un très bon cuisinier. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la cabane type trappeur toute en bois, le prêt de canoés pour petit tour sur les lacs autour de l'auberge et le magnifique Spa à disposition. Cette auberge est idéalement située. Une fois encore merci pour l'accueil chaleureux de Christian et Clara.
