Qualicum Breeze Beach Resort

Fantastic location with a private beach. We were lucky enough to see Bald Eagle, Orcas, Otters and seals all from a sun lounger! Sea clean and is safe to swim or use the kayaks. Owner is friendly and helpful. Great place to stay!

The greeting on arrival was very rude. We arrived at 3:30 and were rudely told to leave as check in was at 4. My wife suggested we wait in our vehicle, but was told we had to leave with the vehicle. A restaurant down the road was suggested The room was far better in the brochure photos, which implied it was in front of the beach when it in reality was across the parking lot from the beach. The beach was all boulders, very difficult to reach the water. The room was cramped with a tiny bathroom. We were booked for 3 days but wanted to leave a day early. We were informed there would be no refund, but we left anyway. I would definitely not recommend the place. Very overpriced.

The owner was extremely friendly , showed us a couple of flying eagles and demonsta=rated her ability to speak 'seal'.

The property had beautiful ocean view and grounds. The hot tub was nice. The unit was very small with no privacy between units and there were a LOT of rules. The driveway and parking was not easyaccess.

Qualicum Breeze Resort was a lovely place to stay. Resort is a bit of a misnomer but the beach side duplex we stayed in was clean and stocked with all the amenities we needed. Note that the private hot tub is for all guests. Owner was attentive, helpful, and friendly.

My husband and I rented one of the beachfront cottages. While the room was quite small it was very cozy and had everything we needed. The best part was that our room shared a beautiful deck right on the ocean with only one other cottage so it was very private. You can’t beat this location. In the few days we were there we saw a pod of orcas pass by, harbour seals every day as well as bald eagles, blue heron and otters. The owner was very helpful in recommending where to eat and shop and regularly checked to make sure we’d booked a time to use the beachfront hot tub. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay there again ourselves.

Very dated (1960’s) and very small rooms. Drive down to the building is dangerous, especially at night. Many signs of building code deficiencies. Don’t be fooled by just the beach front access and view. If the Empress or Marriot hotels are 5 star this place would be a reach as a 2 star.

At checkin they were confused as to whether or not the reservation was paid. Which it was. Then, I was hit with a surcharge for my 5 yr old. I then discovered that there is no shampoo, conditioner, tissues or paper towel in the ‘kitchen’ and the hot tub needed to be reserved. I asked about this at the office and they said they did not offer those items. I said all hotels do and asked why they do not. I was told this is not a hotel and it is very self serve by the manager. I was also not informed that the hot tub needed a reservation. Understood there are COVID related changes but this was not stated in the listing or at checkin. Shower was scalding hot midway with its two valve water control. Someone turned on the cold in another unit and just about burned me. I do not appreciate the attitude or lack of basic items. I also found the photos rather deceptive as the room is very small and the layout does not work for a family travelling together. I have never written a review for anything. I felt compelled to do so for this hotel. A completely disappointing experience for a 10 year anniversary weekend. I have booked new accommodations at my expense for tomorrow and will leave at our convenience then. Entirely unacceptable. But the view however is fantastic. Buyer beware.

Awesome view of the ocean. Unit small, but nice and clean. Would stay there again, but in a bigger unit. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We traveled to this resort from Alberta! It is absolutely beautiful here! We stayed in one of the beach front cottages and we had an amazing time! We spent a lot of time walking the beach and exploring the area! The staff were friendly and the service is fantastic. The hot tub at night was wonderful. You need to pre-book it due to Covid regulations which I thought was awesome because my husband and I had it all to ourselves! 5 stars from us! Gorgeous property! We hope to visit again in the near future!

The property and view were fantastic. We had a wonderful stay and will recommend.

I travel all over Vancouver Island with work and I am surprised I have never stopped at this little Island Gem. The host were so accommodating and the room couldn't have been more comfortable.

Slice of heaven. Comfortable king size bed, great jacuzzi tub. Lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the waves.

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel on the beach with an excellent host. We will be back!
