Shakespeare Inn

Room was clean but cold, heater works fine. TV was not working but staff fixed it in reasonably good time, 1/2 hour.

Good place to stay

The room was clean and the Inn was quiet. I enjoyed my stay, but I had to drive to get any sort of food.

Overall, my experience at the hotel was satisfactory. The room was tidy, the amenities met expectations, and staff were courteous. The only issue I encountered was a leaking pipe under the sink, which caused a puddle of water collecting on the bathroom floor. I had to step over it when entering the bathroom. I recommend maintenance check this to prevent further inconvenience. Otherwise, the stay was comfortable.

The ad size it was a queen bed room but we go a Twin or as the hotel person said its a Hotel Queen

Room was very clean and functional. The motel was about 11 km from the festival .

this motel is in the quaint town of Shakespeare which is a short distance from Stratford which was our true destination for theatre going. It had ample parking and a clean room. We had no need to interact with any staff except for checking in. Room had heat and air which we never needed to use. Free morning coffee was available.

Staff was super friendly but the place needs updating and we had young men talking in the hallway until late at night.

If you want to stay somewhere that is very, very, very basic while visiting Stratford, then this will meet your requirements. There is no sense of comfort and fortunately we were only there for one night. The front desk experience was poor, we were not even informed of a wifi code so we expected it to be in the room, but it wasn't. Breakfast is from 7am to 9am closing far too early if you are looking for a restful break. No shower gel or body wash in the bathroom, just super thin soap and a couple of shampoo & conditioner sachets. Both the bed and pillows were uncomfortable and part way through the night my head was hurting. This was our first and last visit to the Shakespeare Inn.

I had such a terrible allergic reaction to the room I had to leave after half an hour. I did not buy cancellation insurance, so I learned my lesson and will never book a hotel this way again. I am allergic to cats, dust and mold. There were all three allergens in this hotel. The bedding hasn't been updated since the 1960's. Although the carpet had been removed and replaced with laminate, there is still carpet as baseboards that has been there since the 1950's. It was worse than the Bates motel. Bad energy. Old food was left in the fridge in our room. Awful, horrible, terrible worst ever hitel experience.

Perfect for a quiet stay close to Stratford.

Staff was friendly and accommodating for a main floor room. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom was well stocked, many of the other things could be updated. Bathroom light flickered and fan was loud. Microwave didn’t really work and bedding was older and mattresses as well. Tv worked fine and we had a restful sleep, with a coffee /tea and cookies included and available down the hall which was nice was nice

Property is clean. A bit dated and worn. Beds, carpet, trim etc. bathroom looked more newly renovated. We had no problems. Rooms are carpeted and looked worn.

Rooms are pretty basic but clean and has a fridge with a tiny freezer. It was very quiet! They offer coffee and cookies in the cafe from 7-9 am. Friendly staff that double check that the room is clean before you go in. Very reasonable and only 10 min from Stratford

The room was very clean, staff very polite and accommodating. Parking was very good did not use air conditioning We enjoyed the stay.
