we had a very good time, beds are comfortable and very clean room

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making my one night stay truly memorable. The room was spotless and well-stocked, with everything I needed. The breathtaking lake view added to the overall experience. I understand that some goole reviews may be a bit harsh, but considering the age of the establishment and its reasonable price, I believe it’s a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be returning during the warmer months. To all the guests who are reading my review, please experience this place firsthand before judging it through Google reviews.

The smell in the front lobby from the pool repair was really strong. The room was clean and well laid out. Perhaps have some fruit out at the continental breakfast.

Clean, affordable, well managed

When we arrived at the hotel, we noticed that they were redoing the entire pool and pool area. All of the doors to the exterior were open, which let out the strong smell that came from the area. When we arrived back at the hotel later that evening, all the exterior doors have been closed to the pool area, forcing the toxic smell into the rest of the hotel. Our rooms were the accessibility rooms, which were about 50 feet from the pool area. Immediately walking into our rooms we noticed the strong smell had seeped thru. By 3am in the, the smell was unbearable and we had to sleep with the patio door wide open with 85 km winds all night. The room was freezing, but it was the only way we could help reduce some of the smell. I ended up throwing up twice at night due to strong smell. When we went to check out in the morning, the front desk staff had just started their dayshift and even he said he wasn’t sure how he was going to manage to work in the unbearable smell. He mentioned they were currently moving people up to the fifth floor to get away from the smell and we were on the first floor. We did talk to him about a possible refund but he said he had to check with the maintenance department. Not sure what he specifically needed to check with since he himself along with other people staying in the hotel had complained about how incredibly strong and incredibly toxic, the smell was. It’s shocking to me they let people stay in that hotel with that toxic of a smell.

The heating unit was louder than we are used to and the pillows half sized and not very comfortable.

Nice room and great restaurant

Pool closed again this hotel is advertised with a pool but its not operational. Putting the pool closure on some 4th tab over under policies is wrong when the 1st page shows a pool icon. Room was very hot upon arrival. Room towel had two big holes in it. Front desk staff with the big blonde hair was on several occasions not friendly or welcoming. Go ask her a question and she hardly wanted to look up or answer even a good morning on the way by. No washroom in lobby. Charging exfra for early check in when the hotel is practically empty. The restaurant is more expensive then it should be. Dinner for 2 almost 200$. Rip off.

Clean refreshed comfortable affordable and the staff was awesome

Room had flies, we had our one year old baby with us. Only thing the hotel offered is free cancellation and we were checking in at midnight when it’s even hard to find a hotel. No discounts or any food voucher was offered.

There was a lot of hair in the shower, and there was no water pressure.
