The location is perfect however in this neighborhood a lot of the buildings are old now. I understand this happens, but the hotel is suffering from it's age. It sounded like they were working on fixing it up above me so that's going to help. The staff were all friendly. I have no big complaints. It was definitely very quiet at night.

We travel to Santiago 2-4 times a year and always stay in the same area. Our usual places were booked so we reserved at Torremayor. The exterior was covered to prevent vandalism due to the current civil unrest. We watch Chilean news daily so we expected that. The interior was small but as expected. All services met our standards except the bathroom. It was totally without any surfaces for personal items. The toilet paper was beyond reach while seated..., it was mounted on the opposite wall. We had to put the paper on the floor beside the toilet. Remember, there is no counter surface. We had four days of laughing.

This hotel was within walking distance of many fine restaurants. Our room was clean and quiet. Staff were excellent and accommodating.

Part of the staff is really nice, however not enough to compensate the lack of cleanliness, order (on my last night they didn’t leave floor towels, floor really dirty) and more importantly the bad heater (doesn’t work continuosly and when working is super noisy)

I was assigned a room where the air conditioning wasn't cooling the room ever after leaving it on for a long time. The windows of the room could not be opened, so I went down to the front desk to tell them of the problem. They sent a technician up to look at it. He came to "fix" it. I waited another 30 mins and the room just never cooled, it's so warm that I'm unable to sleep. I had to go down again to tell them of the problem. I suggested that they change my room, but the receptionist says there are no available rooms, and he will send the technician up again. The technician turns up in my room with a fan. Not only did it not help, since the windows cannot be opened, it just ended up blowing warm air and the fan was extremely loud and noisy. I had to go down to the front desk for the third time and told him I cant sleep and I need a place to sleep. Finally, he gave me another room to sleep, but he says its for me to sleep for the night and the next day I have to go back to my original room. Next morning, I had to repeat the story to the new staff at the front desk and as usual, they said they will send a technician up to fix it. Even the new staff refused to change my room. After I have gone out for the day, I returned in the afternoon, only to find out that the air conditioner is still not functioning. For the 5th time, I had to tell them about the issue, and it is only now that they finally relented and gave me a new room.

Hotel Torremayor is a good value, well located hotel, a solid 4 star experience at a reasonable price

just ok hotel near city center close to many restaurants and metro station. needs better air conditioning -- one tip is to have one more card and let air conditioner running continuously even when you're out.

I chose this Hotel mainly for it's location, which was perfect for my needs. The room was not fancy but was ok. The included breakfast was just ok.

since it was a busy season,i was surprised that i was given a handycap room with no view,hotel was comfortable,i had booked this hotel nov 14 2014 hopping to get a better room,

New hotel, some construction still being completed but not disturbing. Great location, close to everything.

Gostamos. Mas o café da manhã deixa a desejar… mesma coisa nos 7 dias que ficamos lá! Não mudava nada! Ovos mexidos muito cru e não tinha estilo americano como anunciado. Em nossa habitação o piso precisava urgentemente de ser trocado. Hi-fi não funciona bem! Mas no mais tudo certo, localização excepcional.

Melhor estadia possível… desde a recepção ao checkout. Chegamos de madrugada e foi bem tranquilo, super educados, simplesmente amei!

Pelo preço p hotel não vale, mas a impressão que tenho é que brasileiros se surpreendem,pois em algumas comunas de Santiago os predios são mais antigos com alto preço e quartos com carpetes, camas antigas e café da manha tudo bem mais simples que no Brasil.
