Ascott Raffles City Chengdu

Every where was clean and staff always spoke to us .

The staff was exceptionally helpful and the bed and pillows very comfortable in addition to the general comfort. Swimming pool was a bonus. Well located to modern shopping centre with good access to restaurants. Chosen for its easy access in southern Chengdu. Thank you.

Fantastic accommodation!! Perfect for a group of 3/4

Good location, good service

Very poor arrival experience. Due to flight delay, we arrived a day late. We did the right thing and called the hotel that we will be check in a day late, which they acknowledged. Upon arriving, we were told that our room (3 bedrooms) was no longer available and that we had to stay in two separate rooms and then move to a 3 bedroom suite a day later. Further, they told us that our room was considered cancelled! I have paid in full in advance therefore the hotel should have hold the room for us. At no point did we mention we want to cancel our room. It was 11pm and we travelled with two young children and exhausted. It took them almost half and hour to get someone senior to sort out a 3 bedroom for us. The front desk seems to be run by students who had no initiatives, no customer service skills and like robots. Highly disappointing and infuriating situation. In addition, the air conditioning in our room was almost non existence. The AC unit was just blowing the same air out of the vents, which were very noisy and we never had a decent night of sleep. An experience that I would rather forget. Never this hotel again.

Great location although there is a lot of construction in the area. No noise from it but a bit inconvenient to move around it. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam room. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Convenience to shopping and food

Very nice hotel built on top of shopping mall. Nice gym, pool. Shopping mall provides many food options and a giant blowup house for kids. We had three rooms for 3 days. It was a very nice stay.

Overall the hotel itself was great! However do take note that the malls connecting doors to the hotel closes after 10pm. If it is raining, there is no sheltered walkway to the main entrance so taking a cab back when it rains is advisable!

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Great location.

I had the mistaken impression that the location was central to tourist spots. There was a lot of construction work in the vicinity. The didi drivers faced difficulties finding their way in. Except for the adjoining shopping mall, did not find decent nearby shopping complex.

Room was decent, bed was comfortable, breakfast was quite a spread. Hotel is near to shopping mall with supermarket and plenty of F&B options. Hotel staffs were mostly polite and courteous. Overall a good stay at this hotel. Highly recommended!

Good

Rooms come with washing machine and detergent provided too. Breakfast had a good spray. Hotel located right above Chengdu Raffles City with no bothersome on choices of food. Outer of the hotel/mall are having mrt construction, hence walking to mrt station can be slightly tedious but is no big fuss for such short distance.

Nice breakfast

Great property to stay at while in Chengdu. Close to great eating spots, within a mall, and across from the Metro. note that this building is massive. When facing the building from the metro, the entrance to this hotel is on the back side of the first building/building closest to you. If you get lost, don't worry. There are many helpful lobby attendants to help direct you to the correct area. If you enter through the mall, there will also be signs directing you to ascott raffles.
