Humungous room

The hotel is located inside the 2nd Ring, where most of the historical sightseeing spots located. Since mid November was not busy travel season in Beijing, at time of check in, I requested a free upgrade to a bigger room and the staff was nice enough to give me a bigger one. There is a 1/2 self service pastry stall in the lobby which has my favorite chestnut cake. The nearest metro station is about 15 minutes walk, that I think is a bit far away. The first day I arrived Beijing (11/16) the temperature was zero degree and windy. It would be too cold to walk to the metro station. For the few days I stayed at the hotel, I ended up using taxi most the time instead of subway train. In November the city already turned on heat. My room was facing west and window was locked/unable to open; the room got very warm and I had trouble falling asleep in a " hot room" . On the third day, I had to call the service desk to check if I could have air-conditioning turn on. The answer was no and the housekeeper came to unlock the window so I could got some air! Overall, the hotel is nice, clean and room is spacious.

Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, but our hotel room was very hot.

Table had damage by water. Rug was dirty. Location was good. Bed was pretty hard.

Great hotel, nice swimming pool and sauna after a long day walking. Pillow is a bit low but not a deal breaker.

Spacious rooms. Great breakfast buffet options and individual chef stations with Western and Asian options. Walked to Tiananmmen square, or an easy taxi ride.

Concierge Robin was kind enough to upgrade our room and provided complementary late checkout. Hotel was tidy, the only issue was that the 8th floor smelled heavily like cigarettes. This should be looked into as it affects those that are asthmatic (like my sister and I) and suffer from migraines (like my sister) since the smell triggers the migraine.

We love the convenient location. Walking distance to Tianmen Square, Temple of Heavens and subway. Nice amenities. Staff was professional. Conciege was very helpful when we asked for some local sightseeing and transportation tips. Suggest more English language training for staff as the hotel overall appears to be tailored to westerners to a significant extent.

Good location, close to the downtown area and you can walk to subway station easily

spacious room, all kinds of great food just across the street, walking distance to the subway, shopping malls, and the Temple of Heaven. Just perfect!

This hotel was very beautiful and was in walking distance of pretty much everything. The hotel provides you with all your amenities and offers a wide variety of dining options and snacks. The room was very spacious and very clean. Will definitely re-book on our next trip to Beijing
