Regent BEIJING, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was super convenient, only steps from the mrt exit and not far from wangfujing and the forbidden palace. Removed a star because it is quite old and dark. The hotel should consider revamping it's style or risk being left behind.

Great location, convenience, lots of restaurants option. Very safe area.

This hotel is centrally located in Beijing city, close to many attractions. The forbidden city and Wangfujing are within short walking distance. There is also a Subway station right around the corner. All staffs were friendly and helpful: front desk, Bell service, Concierge, housekeeping, fitness center, etc. I highly recommend this place. If you haven’t been to Beijing before, be aware of busy traffic around this area. Electric Bikes do not follow traffic rules.

The hotel itself was beautiful, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. However, we did encounter a slight issue at the Garden Lei restaurant. They did not allow us to charge the meal back to our room, which was a bit inconvenient. When we tried to pay, the EFTPOS machine requested a six-digit PIN, but our card only has a four-digit one. This led to an awkward situation with three staff members gathered at our table using Google Translate to explain the issue. I kept asking if they could insert the card instead of tapping it, but this was initially not understood. Eventually, I took the machine, inserted the card myself, entered the four-digit PIN, and the payment went through without any problem. It was a bit embarrassing, but I think the issue could be resolved more easily in the future with clearer communication or a quick manual insertion of the card.

Excellent hotel, wonderful service and nice people

From we exited from the taxi, to registration and entered our room, were so perfect. We had been served by the Ms. Elena Li, Guest Experience Mgr, who was so friendly and explained everything we needed to know. The breakfast was too many choices and so tasteful, it made us difficult to choose. Our stay in Regent Hotel was so satisfactory and we felt that we didn’t want to leave the room.

This is the place to stay in Beijing. The room was immaculate, with the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. The staff were attentive, helpful and provided a wonderful experience. If i ever visit Beijing again, this is where I will stay.

We booked 2 twin rooms and had upgraded a twin room to a suite with a fee. The deposit required was high. It was the price of the 2 twin rooms that we paid for a week. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated beside a busy road. In the morning, the roads were jammed and noisy with the honking of cars. The soundproofing of the rooms was bad. Could hear the doors slammed close. In the early mornings starting around 5-6am could hear banging sound, trolley wheels rolling. Night time could hear people quarrelled and road works. Carpets need to be vacuumed more frequently, while the rest of the areas seemed clean. The hotel is centrally located but it is located next to a busy road so travelling needed more time with some detours and more waiting time.

Nice location and just beside metro station. Local food around the area too. Hotel staff are very friendly.

The rooms were clean and nice and the staff went out of their way to help us any time we needed assistance. The in-house breakfast experience was among the best we have had in our travels.

Beautiful hotel and most exquisite service and facilities. The buffet breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Subway is next to the hotel and many dining and shopping options, in the center of Beijing.
