Do not imagine yourself staying in a five stars hotel. This is a very old property. The furniture and amenities are old and beat up. The staff is friendly and competent. The cleaning crew is very friendly and did a good job. The issues arise from the property showing its age that’s all. If you want a true luxury experience I suggest looking for another place:)

They allow SMOKING in this property. We have asked for non smoking rooms and when we went to our room, it was smelling smoke. We went back to talk to the receptionist and we saw someone smoking in the corridor. They have ask trays by the elevator door. We went to complain but they said nothing they can do. Do not stay here if you want a smoke free place

This hotel is a pretty old one. If you’re coming after their signature mattress then you will be very disappointed at this one. I think it worths this price tho because the staffs are always friendly and nice.

It is fairly well managed and it is value for money.

This hotel is worth to stay, very clean compare to other Nanjing hotels.

We stayed at the Sofitel for a quick weekend getaway from Shanghai. Overall the hotel is nice, the staff is very polite and there are a lot of staff that speak very good English. We really enjoyed the club level, the afternoon tea, happy hour and breakfast was all very nice with great service. We also liked the buffet dinner, it is a little odd, hot pot, sushi, french food, but it was pretty good. Sushi and hot pot and desert were all very good, some of the other dishes were lacking I thought. While we enjoyed the hotel amenities, our room was so uncomfortable. It was 20 degrees outside, yet our room never got cooler than 24 with the AC running non stop. It was so hot! We had maintenance come shortly after checking in, then again later when it was just too hot to sleep. Finally someone told us that we actually cannot control the AC in our room. And that other guests were cold so they had to adjust it to make it warmer. We got a portable AC that worked for an hour and at 11pm we gave up on trying to be comfortable. It was miserable to sleep in such a hot room. Also the sink leaked and the room was dated and tired, really needs a proper update. While service is good in the club lounge, when dealing with this issue we got very little actual help. If you do stay here maybe request a lower floor where it might be cooler so you can actually get some sleep. And if it is hot in your room when you check in, ask to switch rooms then.

Everything was perfect only one things wasn't that good ,that is the room temperature ! Guest can not control the air so the room temperature was always 25 Celsius what was hot when is outside is 31 celsius!

Gym is 24 hours. Buffet selection is great. Very nice, clean and friendly place.

Excellent location close to Gulou station. A drive through entrance also makes getting a taxi very easy. Fantastic service throughout!

Nice Comfortable Hotel

Hotel was acceptably clean. Breakfast was really good on the executive lounge. Air conditioning was outdated and broken so it was really warm all the time.

The hotel is very close to a local food street which is pretty good. But the room cleanliness need to be improved, I saw mold on the mirror and other glasses surfaces like the wardrobe..... maybe the hotel needs a renovation.

Great hotel, very comfortable. Everything was clean and nice. 2 English movie channels. This is an incredible hotel for the price. The location probably will eventually be perfect, but for now there is a lot of construction. From my room I didn’t hear any construction noise, though. The location is very close to nice areas but it’s not IN the nice areas. Maybe 3 or 4 bus stops away. Not a problem, really. The area of the hotel isn’t bad at all, just probably not where tourists would be visiting. I recommend the bus instead of the metro. On iPhone, the maps app in China is in english and does public transit.
