Spacious room & toilet, convenient, 15 mins walk to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. Good concierge service, thank you Xiaolin for helping to accept my parcels before my arrival. From the moment we arrived till departed, all staffs we encountered are very helpful & friendly. Highly recommended.

Great location. Pedestrian street just a short stroll away. I can't imagine a better location to stay in Xiamen. Many of the staff spoke some english. Never had trouble communicating. Had some issues with getting some printing done in the business center, but they were doing their best. The prices there are outrageous, but they usually are in business centers in China. (US$1.50 per printed page). I had 80 pages to print. That would have been almost double what I payed for one night there. After some persistent bargaining I got a discount US$0.50. In the U.S. business centers they don't even charge haha! Taxis were easy to get and staff explained well to the drivers exactly where to take me. The room itself was super comfy and clean and modern. By the way I had a no window room and thought it was a great room! Anyway you wouldn't see much of the view through the smog if you have a window haha! I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else next time. Perfect spot. By the way Starbucks is a block away...bonus points!

Would not recommend.
Worst part of this room was there was not a window. Not expecting seaside views or anything of that sort.
Rooms didn't have international adapters for laptops. Especially as this is a 4 star and would assume have many business travelers from overseas.
Wifi & Ethernet cable was shockingly slow.
Room service was good.

The hotel is nice and clean with good service, many English speaking clerks. I didn't think that taking the room with no windows would be a problem, but it turns out that also means it has no closets either. A very small room with a bed and a nice bath. Otherwise great

Checked in late at night and was treated to a complimentary upgrade from my windowless room into a windowed room. The hotel does not have anything of note immediately surrounding it, but the ferry to Gulangyu and other waterfront attractions are walkable. All in all, was a decent home base to explore Xiamen.

Hotel is conveniently located near pedestrian shops, restaurants and shopping mall. Ferries to Gu Lang Yu Island is also within walking distance. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Good hotel to stay.

I was hesitant at first for booking this hotel that's quite far from the city centre, but I am glad I did. Not only is it accessible to the gulangyu islands, but it's located a few minutes away from Zhongshan Lu, a picturesque pedestrian street filled with great street food. The narrow alleys reminded me a little of the night markets in Hong Kong. You will not be disappointed.
The staff at Tegoo hotel was very helpful. Told us ways to get to the more popular tourist sights via public transportation rather than defaulting to taking a cab. And public buses cost just 1 RMB (or about 16 cents USD). And they allow you a more intimate feel for local life.
I highly recommend the Tegoo hotel for any stay in Xiamen. You will not be disappointed.

At first we were hesitant about booking this hotel as it is quite far from the city center, but to our surprise, the area is quite active. It's within walking distant to Zhongshan Lu (Pedestrian Road), a great place for street food. Blocks upon blocks of food stands that many locals frequent. It was perhaps the highlight of our trip.
Tegoo Hotel is definitely a boutique hotel with its own flavor. Hallways are purple with flower drawings. Rooms are quite cozy with bathrooms that are enclosed in glass. Quite romantic for couples but a bit odd for others. There is a curtain for those that want privacy but its hung from the outside, meaning that you have to pull the curtain over first before you do your business.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its own unique character as well as being in an awesome location. I did consider hotels that were closer to the city center but the area surrounding them reminded me of any typical Chinese city. So if you are looking for some thing with flavor, consider the Tegoo Hotel.
