Hotel Retiro 84 by MIJ

Overall great place

I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel, as there were both positives and negatives. Cons: • The mattress was extremely firm—so much so that I had to double-check whether there was actually a mattress on the bed or just a wooden board. I ended up using both extra comforters as padding to make it somewhat comfortable to sleep. • I was left standing in the rain one night for quite a while because no one was at the Front Desk. I eventually had to walk around the building and knock on a window to get the staff’s attention, as the attendant was engaged in conversation in the kitchen. • Although I originally requested airport transfer back to the airport, I mentioned during check-in that a friend would be providing my airport transportation so to cancel the service and they told me no problem. At the end of my stay, I was still told I would be charged for the hotel shuttle service (which was significantly more expensive than a standard Uber.) Pros: • The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. • The food was very good. • Sergio, one of the hotel staff members, provided excellent service—he was professional, kind, and went above and beyond to assist. With a few improvements to guest communication and comfort, this hotel has the potential to offer a much better experience. I’m not sure if I would stay here again though.

Very nice hotel, very attentive personnel, lot of restaurants, malls, night life, parks within walking distance, very safe area, highly recommended. It was our second stay at Retiro by MJ. Commendations to Sergio!!

Great location, great staff. Stayed in this area more times but this hotel is just perfect.

Todo muy bien, lo unico que el Wifi en la habitacion es terrible practicamente nulo, deberian mejorar este punto para obtener una 5 estrella. Por lo demas todo excelente.

Small but intimate hotel which had everything we needed. Staff were helpful and friendly. The staff in the dining area were particularly impressive at breakfast. Friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Room clean and comfy Good value for money given the area close to the zona T.

Well this is the second time this is happened to me with the guy at the front counter I had paid for the room when I got there then when I left he asked for my card again I told him I already paid he says no but I looked and it was for 43,000 pesos so he already charged me when I checked in and then he charged me again for something when I left this is the second time he has cost me money The first time I stayed there they had to reimburse me because he charged me for two check early

Excelente opción. Las habitaciones muy cómodas y confortable. El staff desde Sergio hasta Alejandro son todo un amor. El hotel queda cerca de los principales restaurantes y centro comercial, se puede ir a cualquier sitio caminando y la zona es segura.
