It is a very beautiful property with amazing views! The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning. The food was great and reasonably priced. (We have had a hard time with finding good food for a good price in the previous places we stayed. The beach was incredible! It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season.

An amazing spot for enjoying the sunset, quiet, safe and with the friendliest and kindest staff. Not the best pillows and a very noisy A/C, also the street to get there isn't that good. But apart from that, we loved our stay there and we will definitely be back!

Property has really gone downhill. Bathroom was dirty and falling apart, AC did not work properly and was very noisy, there was a total of 3 chairs by the pool so we could not get a chair. We left early and are trying to get a refund.

I have been going to Casa Caletas for over 20 years. It was a beautiful boutique hotel one of my favorite places in the world. However about 10 years ago it changed hands and the new owner is not putting The necessary maintaine into the property. The sink had no Coldwater shower was missing a handle on the hot water control small but important things. It saddens me to watch such a beautiful property go downhill.

The hotel is nice but it leads to a place where a river meets the sea and it's no easy task to get to the sea shore. The roads are a headache, not for a small automovile, just 4x4. If you find yourself near Playa Bongo and Coyote, don't hesitate to stay in there. It may be a little overprices, but it's the best you can find.

Casa Caletas is the ultimate escape to paradise. It is remote, tranquil, and totally pura vida. It's worth the drive and adventure to experience a private tropical beachfront paradise away from the hustle of touristy Costa Rica. Enjoy the breakfast, search for sanddollars on the private long stretch of beach, enjoy the spectacular infinity pool, and enjoy the quality customer service from local Ticos! Great food, great adventure.

This hotel is a great place to go and rest, there is nothing around, just the beach and a river that goes to the ocean, great view. If you are going, make sure you use the ferry that goes to Naranjo, if you take the one of Tambor you are gonna have to drive like 3 hours... From the ferry (Naranjo) to the hotel is like 60 km drive, 50% is good street the other 50% is really bad but you can make it in a single car. If you want to go to Santa Teresa is an 1 hour drive, really bad street, you have to cross two rivers and drive over the beach, literally, for this you must go on big car (4x4). Food is really good, I really like the experience...

I stayed here for one night and was welcomed by a friendly hostess. However I was quite disappointed with the room because it was infested with bugs, especially ants. There were ants everywhere! The room itself was very nice and it would have been pretty much a perfect stay if not for the infestation. I tried to kill the ants (at least 15) but they just wouldn't go away and I would continue to find more. And then I found another surprise in the bathroom the next morning that wasn't ants, but a crab in the shower instead. I don't know how it got there but it was in the shower. The breakfast view was spectacular and it was nice to kayak just outside the hotel. However if this bug issue could be fixed I think it would make a person's stay much more comfortable.

We were not able to stay at the hotel even though we booked it. We needed a four wheel drive vehicle to get there and were not aware of this until we got to Samara. When asking for directions we were told our two wheel drive rental car would not be able to navigate the roads. So regretfully we had to stay in Samara that night.
