Nice cozy place in the mountains. Very helpful staff. We arrived in rain and wind and checking staff gave us an umbrella and walked in front the car to show the way in the dark and fog to our hut. Huts are nice and create true mountain traveller experience. My only comments related to potential improvements are: 1. It gets cold at night in the mountains. Small electric heater provided is too small to warm the room. Larger heater would be better. 2. Fire place in the room is an amazing idea but we couldn’t get the wood to light up even with lighter fluid probably because of high humidity. Would suggest small lighter log, that always does the trick to dry and light up the firewood.

The room was fine. We had trouble checking in as the reception was closed at 8:50 pm when we arrived. We finally found the caretaker's cabin and he let us into the room. We enjoyed the fireplace, but they needed to have kindling and smaller wood to get the fire going. We used all the "boy scout juice" and a personal magazine. We never got the fire going, although it did produce coals for some heat. The hydrangeas on the property were gorgeous!

This was a very beautiful place to stay, staff very friendly and the food was really good. They only 2 downsides were 1. It is right by the road so you hear the traffic, 2. They didn't keep much of the forest, rather only a few trees, so over time those trees will be blown down as there are not enough protection for them anymore. If the forest was maintained, the road noise would also have been much less.

I absolutely recommend this place. The overall experience is outstanding. The place looks like a botanical garden. The room has everything to enjoy your stay. We had a fireplace with firewood and hot tea ( it wasn't warm outside). The only small things that I would add the hooks on the inside of the shower and change a shower nose. On the porch we had a hummingbird feeder and a beautiful calla lillies so we were wathing them all morning. They have a restaurant on the premises with a farmers market fresh food. Menu has a lot to offer. You can select your breakfast from the menu. So far it's my best experience at Costa Rica. I wish I booked more night at this place
