So we arrived on the island of Hvar via the TP Line catamaran ferry from Brac. No need for a taxi transfer as it’s walkable, but brace yourself for the climb of steps in order to gain the necessary height. Apparently the island of Hvar is the party island, so be mindful of that! The apartment was lovely with affective AC! We took a water taxi to Robinson island and spent a lovely day there. The sea is so clear and beautiful to swim in. So we would recommend Villa Lacman for value for money and location.

Great hosts, very accommodating to checking in earlier and provided the necessary amenities. Hvar is very hilly so there are many stairs / hills on the way to this property from the main part of town, so that is something to consider if you have lots of luggage although a taxi can also be hired

Villa Lacman was such a good find and such a bargain! Sad to only stay for 2 nights the room was so lovely. Nice big room with space for luggage and unpacking clothes. The shower was very good. The room was well lit and there were lots of places to hang things. Very comfortable!
We found the mattress a bit soft for us, but that's a personal preference as we prefer a firm one back home.

Vila Lacman is a family run small boutique hotel on the hillside west of the castle (Foritca), and just above the beach club. A short walk to the square (Trg) and the port (luka) of Hvar.
we discovered you can take a long set of stairs straight up to the road the hotel is on (a difficult hike with luggage ) or walk along the harbor front go right past the cafe up a short set of stairs to a walkway that goes behind an old church tower. An easy route that is very panoramic too.
The room was small, but very reasonable, a lovely balcony with a partial view of the bay. Downstairs was a cabana type kitchen we used to make a lovely dinner from food purchased at the local market. We dined on the patio in front of the kitchen under vines and lime trees that were very peaceful.
The grocery store, a few hundred feet up the street, includes a second-floor restaurant with excellent foud and sunset views.

It was a hike to get from the ferry to the property with our luggage, so would recommend arranging transportation. The host accommodated our early check in, which was appreciated!
The property is up on a hill overlooking the town. Walkable distance to beach and town. The room itself was a bit dated, but was a good size and had a lovely balcony. It would have been nice to have a coffeemaker or a kettle, but we did have a mini fridge.

This place was absolutely beautiful, the view was outstanding we didn’t know how the room and view would be but it turned out amazing, the host was such a sweet lady and kind- definitely recommend staying at her place and will be coming back to stay with her again.

2 major issues. First of all it's unclear from the listing that you have to climb hundreds of steps lugging your suitcase to reach the villa. No offer to drive the luggage to the apartment, like the other villas had (something I noticed afterwards). Secondly, they insisted that I could only pay in cash - that is a total tax avoidance move. We had a wonderful stay at Vila Lacman, the room was clean, light and airy. There was everything you would need in the kitchen and there was cold water in the fridge when we arrived, which was very well received. It is close to a supermarket which has an amazing restaurant above, we ate there twice. Quite a hike up from the port but well worth it. Would definitely stay there again if we are ever in Hvar. The Lacman family were lovely hosts.

I strongly advise against staying here. My experience was incredibly disappointing and stressful from the start.
First, the host demanded payment in cash (euros), even though I booked through Hotels.com and there was absolutely no mention of cash-only payment in the listing or confirmation. This forced me to withdraw money at a premium from ATMs — a huge inconvenience and cost that was completely unexpected.
Second, the noise levels were unbearable. I was repeatedly woken up early in the morning by people knocking at my door and disturbances right outside the room. It felt chaotic and unprofessional — not at all like a place meant for rest. There was zero sense of privacy which I ended up becoming sick due to lack of sleep.
What should have been a peaceful stay in Hvar turned into a frustrating experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Between the loud environment, the lack of transparency about payment, and people showing up unannounced at my door, I absolutely cannot recommend this accommodation.
There are much better, more reliable places to stay in Hvar. Skip this one.

Very nice property and as matches the photos and descriptions. The cleanliness was impeccable and the ladies were very generous.There is a shared kitchen space where you can cook you own meals and that was very convenient for us. Overall the stay was very pleasant and I would not hesitate to book it again if I ever visit hvar.
