City Hotel Nebo

I was told by staff that I booked a budget 2 star hotel, and in Copenhagen, this is what you get. The elevator did not work. Our shower drain did not drain and flooded the entire bathroom in about 2 minutes. The staff was very friendly. They plunged the shower and also gave us a ton of towels to dry the floor. There was an erotic store a block down from the hotel and homeless people here and there. It was close to the metro and to the central train station. Things looked better in the light of day. The Chinese restaurant next to the hotel had absolutely delicious fish and wide noodles with beef. The Ol pub around the block had great beer and outside seating.

The lady working the afternoon/evening shift was very rude and non-caring. My husband needed help with printing something and she would not help him. She set me up to use the laundry room and when I needed more time to dry, she accused me of washing two loads the reason my clothes weren’t dry in her allotted time. The gentlemen on duty were nice and friendly. One even worked hard to give us an extra day. However it was booked and he couldn’t. She was NOT nice! It would serve customers well if she found another occupation. Public contact is not her strong suit.

Good location, facilities need some serious upgrading

Really great location - so close to Copenhagen station. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. However there seemed to be an issue with the plumbing, creating wafts of sewage through the room. To combat this smell, we opened the windows, which allowed a lot of noise to enter from the busy street - so sleeping was a bit tricky. There was no air conditioning but the fan provided much needed comfort.

The location of Nebo was excellent, right next to the train station, but that means it's also right near Tivoli Gardens, which has a beautiful fireworks display on certain nights that sounds like it is happening in the room next door. And the street noise was also a little loud. We opted for the private bathroom, which was tiny. Comfortable beds though and very friendly staff.

I liked the fact that it was close to the central train center and that many attractions were nearby. There is also a court yard to sit. I didn’t like that one of the staff was rude at the front desk. She didn’t have any class or respect for the guests. If it wasn’t for her it would got a better rating. And she was the only person working there that was Danish. The rest of the staff were non Danish but had a better upbringing

Very warm room which in the hot months is nice fun, small fan provided helped a little. Elevator was out which made bag carrying challenging

Quite okay for its price.

They gave me the room on the 5th floor and the elevator was not working. It was a real challenge after walking long hours and having travelled for 6 hours. The room was fine for a night but you would constantly hear crackling and water sound from the other rooms. Eventhough the shared shower and toilet was on the same floor and clean, the shared shower consept was my first experince and didn’t like it for sure… But the hotel was right next to the Central train station and it was a big plus..

Great hotel for a quick layover/ visit.

I was not impressed at first. My room was very small and the bed was only 75mm wide. However, the bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept well. The staff at reception were mostly helpful. The lift didn’t work but the staff offered to help me with my luggage. The internet worked ok. I did not eat at the hotel. Because the hotel was less than 150metres from the railway station, it was very good for me.

Lovely hotel, really central. My only issue was that the day after my arrival the elevator broke down which made getting my case downstairs on checkout challenging

Extremely hot in the rooms. No fans for guests to use. Communal bathrooms. Will not stay here again.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little underwhelming. Great location and a 2-minute walk to the train station. From the train station, only a 1-minute walk to Tivoli gardens.

Location excellent, all staff we encountered were friendly, professional and helpful. We had standard en suite rooms, nothing fancy but had everything you would need and were clean. I imagine it is hot in the warm weather, and the bins get emptied early and loudly, but nothing to spoil our experience. Bag drop both sides of our room being available also a bonus. Would stay again if we come back to Copenhagen.

Room was small but ok. Its an older hotel and the lift was out of order. That was a pain to carry the suitcases up the small stairs. Breakfast was good and the location was excellent.

Good location,small room comfortable bed,2 minutes away from central train station..as solo traveler be close transportation is a must for me.

It is amazingly close to the central station and very reasonably priced.

Staff are stars! I arrived 2 hoyrs ahead of check 8n time, just to see if I coukd drop off my heavy bag, and they checked me in and let me have my room. Brilliant. They are always smiley and helpful.
