Hostel Belægningen

I found this hostel purely by looking for the cheapest place in Copenhagen with car parking. I expected a lot less than I got. At first arrival, the reception staff were brilliant, even changing euros to krona so i could get the bus into town and the room was of a good size and impeccably clean. Was also pleasantly surprised that there was a cooking area that was in great order. The hostel is well situated for public transport to town and there is a local shopping area walking distance away. The hostel itself is an former army barracks and rather than ignore this they have made the most of it with information boards around the dorms explaining the history. Overall, I found the stay above average for the cost.

Well maintained grounds, well equipped communal kitchen with good labelling system for food items. Only thing missing was a freezer. Comfortable rooms with table and chairs. Warm friendly very helpful staff. Situated 30 minutes from central Copenhagen station on bus 2A towards Avedore. Peaceful area with access to 2 popular food stores. Great for relaxing after fun filled day at Tivoli park. Good wifi access but poor selection of tv channels and no English audio.

Ullah helped us so much and provided us with valuable information that we needed. She spent generous time showing us the amenities. We just loved her for her kindness and caring attitude. We felt at home right away. The accomodation was clean, and perfect for our purpose. We will do it again, if we had the chance.

Hotel is easily accessible by public transport, once the location is identified. Positive reciprocation and service has been excellent. Quite and a green place with all the basic amenities and supporting infrastructure in the vicinity. Although my daughter had to attend CIRSE 2017 at Bella Center, She could manage to participate in sessions as per schedule by public transport. House keeping has been meticulous, relevant and effective. We would definitely like to recommend Hotels.com and the Hostel.

We stayed in Copenhagen for 2 days at the beginning of a European trip. Copenhagen is fairly expensive to find a hotel. We opted for this option which is sort of a dorm style accommodation. It was fairly basic but was reasonably clean. The staff was helpful and it seemed pretty easy to get into central Copenhagen from there. It's a decent option for those on a budget.

Location is quite and only 20 minutes drive from the city but wouldn't stay there more than one night. Staff were nice though and this was more of a youth hostel suitable for youth not families but it was good getaway and cheap option in expensive city

No fan or AC. Not all the windows have curtains (Atleast in the room allotted to us) , So it's not possible to sleep before 10 pm and after 5 am in summer. Bathroom is very small. No hooks, no door latch (a big negative). They provide the sheets but we have to put it on the pillows and duvets and remove it while check out. After a tired day check in u don't want to do this. The surrounding is very beautiful and serene. Cost Effective. Microwave available only in the main kitchen and not every building.

Pleasant stay, calm and quit area. Nice neighbourhood with open green spaces. It was so silent at nights and mornings. Good support at check-in and we got short instruction about common areas as kitchen and living room. Fast to check-out.

Okay on the whole

The hostel occupies a few buildings of a larger old military barracks complex, which also includes a film institute and a circus museum (advertised as free for hostel guests but with very limited hours). Beds are comfy enough, rooms are clean and have windows. A common kitchen offers plenty of space and utensils. Staff was helpful. Internet computers in office. Overall, it is a relaxing and historical area surrounded by farmland, not a loud party place. There is a nearby bus stop into Copenhagen but the quicker method is usually by commuter train. The combination of walk (hopefully in good weather) and train, twice daily, will cost one hour of your time and around $20 for two riders, which should be factored into your choice to stay here. Note the "clip" cards are no longer valid on this train route but you can save one-third the cost by purchasing a 24-hour card late one night and using it for three rides (i.e 8pm, 9am, 7pm). Directions from central station: Take any train line that stops at "Avedore" station. Exit and follow the long row of tall white apartment buildings (two grocery stores there), cross over a bridge, walk through some woods to an intersection light. Continue walking straight and turn left at first roadway. Hostel office is near the end of the street on left. Note: this suburb apparently has NO cash ATM machines so get your money in Copenhagen.

God modtagelse og et rigtig godt værelse. Lige ved siden af var der et fælles te-køkken, og det fungerede fint. Ikke langt fra Belægningen ligger der Netto og Lidl, og ligeledes Avedøre togstation. Vi var godt tilfredse med opholdet.

Manglende personale til at tage imod ved ankomst og afgang. Senge er meget hårde og knap komfortable. Pænt rent

2140-0900 ikke meget at fortælle

Værelset var enkelt og rent og seng, dyne og hovedpude komfortabelt. Fantastisk udsigt, stille og rolige omgivelser. Toilettet lugtede lidt af urin men resten af badeværelset var rent og fingerede fint. Udenfor værelset i korridoren lugtede lidt af røg på trods af at der var rygeforbud. Men alt i alt var jeg super tilfreds med mit ophold.

Skulle kun bade og sove. Perfekt

Boendet uppfyller de förväntningar jag har på ett vandrarhem. Boendet känns prisvärt och har fina gemensamhetsutrymmen. Väldigt lugnt område.

Es un hostal muy peculiar por su historia y las actividades que de desarrollan ahora en ese rumbo. Muy tranquilo en medio del campo muy cerca de Copenhague así que puedes pasar todo el día en la gran ciudad y regresar a descansar, tomar un rico café y ver televisión para relajarte, y al día siguiente volver a ver otra parte de la ciudad sin pagar los precios altos de los hostales céntricos ni los estacionamientos.

Godt sted til overnatning, pænt og rent på værelset.

Virkelig fint hostel til prisen. Det ville jeg uden problemer anbefale videre og selv bruge igen.
