Stayed at the Danhostel Grindsted for one night in May 2022. The accommodation itself is in a great location near to the bus station and a short walk from shops and supermarkets. This is particularly useful if you're visiting Billund/Legoland but be aware this is a cheap 20 minute bus journey or expensive taxi ride away. The rooms are dorm style and private, there is a bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink, although mine didn't have any soap (you'll need to bring your own) and the shower was really not much use at all. It's really important to note that bed linen and towels are NOT included in the price and quite an expensive extra if you fully occupy the room. You can bring your own though if you wish. The linen I had was a little soiled however the reception is not manned so you can't speak to anyone about it in person. If you open a second pack they will charge you for it, so bear this in mind. A couple of other things to note is that there was a gap you can see through around the windows (ok when I visited but will let a draught through in winter I guess) and you must clean your room yourself before departing, empty the bin, etc or they might charge you for that too. Overall I am disappointed with the accommodation and when I complained a week after departing was told that they "cannot accept complaints almost 10 days after you check in", so please bear this in mind if choosing to stay here.

It was alright for what it is. Our room was clean. The guy who looks after the place was very nice and lots of advice on places to go. The shared kitchen was a bit dated and didn’t have enough space for more than 1 family to cook and wash up. Could do with an additional toaster, so people don’t have to wait inline to toast their bread..ample parking and convenient to LEGOLAND etc..3.5/5

Good value place to stay near to Billund. Friendly staff and comfortable room.

Really lovely hotel close to public transport. A short bus ride to Legoland. The staff are wonderful and very responsive and helpful with any problems.

Brilliant location near Legoland. Attractive town with lots of supermarkets within walking distance of hostel. Each bedroom has own lockable fridge/freezer/cutlery/crockery in communal kitchen, plus pots/pans etc. Perfect for families and much better value than buying breakfast in hostel. Would definitely use again.

Nice quiet peaceful Near to legoland But the town got nothing much

We were there for 2 nights to visit Legoland nearby. The staff were very helpful, and we had a large clean room with private bathroom. You also have access to a large, well-kept, clean kitchen, and a private fridge and cutlery kept with a lock. We were able to buy good at a local grocery store and make all of our meals while we were there.

It was good.. First time stayed in hostel a good experience

The hotel staff was really nice and friendly and helped us quite a lot. The facility is really nice and very center. Perfect if you have a family. They have a play area and a very nice kitchen. We were only a bit disappoint with the cleaniness of the room. We found chewed bubble gum under the bed as well as a few french fries. But besides that everything was very nice and we would definitely coming back.

Bonne localisation par rapport à Legoland.

Det var lidt forvirrende at der var 2 vandrehjem lige over for hinanden i samme gade. Men info om nøgle afhentning gjaldt nok for begge steder. Lidt spindelvæv under den ene køje. Bruserhoved faldt af.

Vi bodde här ett par nätter och upplevelsen var helt okej. Rummet var rent och funktionellt, inget att klaga på men heller inget som stack ut. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Läget var bra för våra behov. Inget lyxigt, men helt klart prisvärt för det man får. Passar bra om man bara behöver någonstans att sova och fräscha upp sig.

Litt vanskelig å finne butikker og cafe'er men ellers fint område

Urolige naboer der larmede helt til midnat og da vi skulle op kl. 03 var det meget ubehageligt.
