The staff was very friendly and the property was well kept! Many options for food and plenty of bars! We had a group of 12 and really enjoyed ourselves!

Resort is just OK. I arrived at noon, no early check-in, so I returned at 3 PM, my room was still not ready. I waited until 5 PM for my room to be ready. I discovered hair and sand in the bed and the pillow cases stained. Waited another two hours before housekeeping arrived. Most staff were friendly, except for a few who seemed annoyed when asked for help. If you’re an english only speaker, bring a translator, most staff have limited english skills and won’t be able to fully understand requests. Resort itself is nice enough. Some areas have fallen into disrepair, the rooms could probably use a bit of an update. There are no dressers, No place to put your clothes into a drawer. There is only a closet with a couple hangers, you’ll live out of your suitcase. The food was not great, I tried a lot of what was on offer, but most dishes weren’t good or hadn’t been cooked properly. Hard potatoes and half cooked pasta. We paid extra for a lobster & steak dinner one evening and it was overcooked/tough. The beaches and shore are covered in kelp/algae that wraps around your legs. There are very aggressive vendors selling cigars, jewelry excursions etc on the beach. They are not affiliated with the resort but are CONSTANTLY soliciting while you try to relax. Shopping trip they offer isn't worth it, you’re better off walking down the street to the marketplace there and supporting native Dominicans. The highlight of my trip? The ocean view & Dolphin trip (not affiliated with resort)

Customer service and cleanliness for me are a must, and you all did excellent.

Resturants were hit or miss. Chop sticks was good. Tiki taco was good. Even though its Italian food. Sunnys Delight was great. Brazilian restaurant horrible. Never had enough meat for tables on skewers. Plus waiters kept going to same tables. Buffet was horrible. Salad bar was bland and sides that were hot were not. Checking in was fast and easy! Stayed on adult side. Except room had no wash clothes. Called 4 times between 4pm-10pm on first night there. Had to go down to desk and let them know about there service. After i exspressed myself had no more issues. Room service was great got to be well known. Asked for Caliente. Got Caliente! Adult side buffet was great. Had to be in there within first 2 hrs of opening. After that food wasnt replenished as well. Staff was great and friendly. Pool side had bar and small buffet in adult side. Great presentation of snacks. Except flies got to enjoy more than myself everyday. Told workers to see if sandwiches could be covered. Guess people like flies on food. Drinks from staff at bar were good. Limited choices on alcohol. Made it work though. Shows were good. Except they start after 930pm. Thats way too late. Need to be earlier like 8pm. I say for families with kids. Plus no night club there. Also bars close at 11pm and open at 10am. Liquor in rooms are a no other than 2 bottles of beer. Beach is a waste. Cannot kayak but so far because of boats. Seaweed is all on sand and water. Pool side is better just go early to find a chair

Overall Sunscape Coco Punta Cana was average. Entertainment was excellent, however it is almost impossible to reserve a table for dinner at an actual sit down restaurant unless you do it 3 days in advance (reservation has to be on their app). I paid a lot of $$$ to stay at this all inclusive and every meal I ate was buffet style (no wow food either). For that one reason I would not return. Beach sand is very nice but a lot of seaweed. Average drinks, room was clean but a bit hard to find a chair poolside since everyone puts a towel down early in the morning. They did let me check in a hour early. Very close to airport.

Sunclub area was amazing! Great if you want more peace and quiet but i dont know how they differ from guests because they require no wristbands? whatever it didnt really bother me because it was still a nice area. Room service was included and we did take advantage of that! shoutout to our concierge Julio, he was the best! and the bell boys are also lovely. I will say the food was a 7/10 but they have SO many options, you’ll find something you like. If you’re a foodie who uses social media alot, you’ll be pleased to find they have le petit chef on the resort, super cute! One thing I will say, DO NOT book transportation with the resort. I recommend uber or keeping the contact of an airport taxi. It kind of seems like they send you with anyone i took a 12 min ride to coco bongo and payed $25 USD (not terrible) next day, i book airport transportation(15 min ride on shared van) ASK FOR MY ONE CONDITION TO BE ABLE TO PAY WITH CARD… we get in the van and the man tells us his card scanner wont charge after driving for a few minutes, refuses to return us the hotel so we can uber, then proceeds to tell us its $45 for the ride and makes us take out money at an ATM Ridiculous, an uber would’ve been $27 and i would’ve been able to pay with card…like i requested. Luckily im cuban and speak fluent spanish and told the guy im not stupid and payed him what he deserved in this situation. other than that, our experience was wonderful and i would definitely recommend the hotel :)!

We weren’t even aware this had a family side or an adult side!They put us on the family side and we were on a group adult birthday trip😢The elevators were broke the whole time, I had 3 broken ribs and had to walk up 3 floors to get to our room our whole entire stay!🤔The buffets food was very nasty, even the drinks from the bars weren’t good! I would never stay here again!

Upon arrival you're swept up quickly by the staff depending on family size I'm guessing. As a couple we were escorted to the "Adults Only" section. We were asked to have a seat in the waiting area; and told we would be helped promptly!! This was NOT the case. We patiently waited almost an hour with no one coming to get us; but waiting on people that just walked through the door. There is obviously no protocol in place for check in!! When you're swept away; leaving your luggage behind; they should probably make a list of names in accordance with your arrival and use said list for check in!! Coming from northern America we were not dressed yet for the hot weather and I for one; was getting very uncomfortable sitting around waiting!! Next is the room. How bizarre!! In ALL of our stays we have NEVER had a room where the bathroom is not separated by WALLS!! It was open concept with the bed directly next to the open bathroom!! Absolutely NO privacy. If one got up during the night; all got up. When you turn the not closed in bathroom light on; it lights up the ENTIRE room!! The room had a hot tub that NO hot water ran into. Nor did I see any controls to get the jet action. Housekeeping showed up daily but was very inconsistent to what they did each time. They did leave a wad of my hair on the floor for 3 mornings. I'm hoping it was picked up after we checked out!! The all glass stalls are knowingly hard to clean; but; it should be attempted. Apparently; I've run out of space
