Angel & Royal Hotel

Lovely hotel and we certainly like to stay there again the next time we visit Grantham. Clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Provided us a special alarm clock for deaf people which we appreciated very much.

Great location in a beautiful town. A stunning period property. Large room at a very good price. Fabulous bathroom. What really made for such a good stay was the customer service. Reception staff and the team in the cocktail/tapas bar were excellent. The tapas was exceptional. We will return.

The hotel had a nice calm and relaxing feel to it. The staff were lovely, friendly and professional.

Need heating on in room had to use a plug in radiator for heat 😔

First, I called the hotel a day prior to our arrival and a receptionists named Chloe was very polite, kind and able to help us with our booking that we made through Expedia. When we arrived, it was Chloe who helped and informed us about the hotel, amenities, carpark and room booking. She is very knowledgeable. Thank you Chloe. The Room that was given to us was a family room which is very clean, comfortable beds, with two big mirrors and a comdortable single sofa seat which added to the elegance of the room. The toilet is very clean and looks amazing. There is a telephone, television, iron and ironing board, several bottles of water, kettle and sachets for hot drinks, hair dryer, lamps, portable heater and electric fan readily available to use. The carpark is just behind the hotel but there is small road that separate the hotel from the car park. Just be careful and always keep an eye with cars passing from your right when going to the car park. When leaving the car park, you need to get a code from the receptionist. We also met a very friendly cleaner named Christy Galer who prepared the room and we were amazed how clean and organized our family suite, bathroom and toilet. Before leaving the hotel amd handed back the keys of the room, I met another kind and friendly receptionist names Helen who also help us with our checking out. As ever, an excellent visit. Comfortable, spacious room in an historic building. The restaurant is excellent. The breakfast is superb - a wonderful breakfast room with traditional table service..

+ polite staff, lovely quirky hotel, - room cold, unable to regulate heat quick staff response by putting heater in room. Noise levels unacceptable from beer keller two doors away playing loud muic until 2am. Rang desk at 1.30am who informed me they don't usually stay open that late but their opening hrs state otherwise. Kitchen extractor woke us at 7am that same morning. Windows not double glazed. Awful nights sleep.

Room was clean, breakfast was £19.99 which was a bit expensive for 1 and Sunday breakfast didn’t start until 08:00. The evening menu again was expensive

I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions, so my review repeats earlier ones. The hotel is historic, the rooms are comfortable and have their own individual charm. The dining facilities are excellent. The breakfast room is wonderful.

I am afraid that as my wife was taken ill, we were unable to check in and stay at the hotel. I am therefore unable to review the property, room or food.

Really good room. The bistro was good. And breakfast was too good.

I didn’t use the bar when I walked around the public areas. It looked very tidy and stocked up and as a former Bar manager I would know if it looked odd but everything looked perfect.

Lovely old fashioned hotel. Nice staff, traditional rooms. No lifts so a bit tough if you have accessibility issues

We had an excellent overnight stay and wished we stayed for longer! Everything was just so good about the hote, from the parking, the great room and fantastic restaurant.
