Stayed in the India, a mews room up a spiral staircase in a building in the car park. Room was over done in decor, and floor was noisy with a massive wooden wardrobe rocking around , whenever you went to the dressing table . Visited the restaurant, was extremely expensive for food, and no draught beers, £6.50 for a 330ml Peroni, the hotel should be embarrassed! I had the fish and chips , and was poorly that next day, and I have a hardy stomach. Would be lovely in the summer, with a takeaway delivered

Slept away from the main house, up some very rickety metal stairs in a different building. A lot of noise from the room next door late at night. We could hear them going in and out. We could hear them in the bathroom. No bath. No chair to sit and do hair and makeup, and tv was in front of mirror anyway.

The hotel and the grounds were full of character. The bathroom was incredible. However, the issue was the noise. Needs some serious sound proofing. The room was above reception and was incredibly noisy. Also, the room lacked services considering the price per night. Limited drinks available, and had to ask for bathrobes.

A really comfortable stay, and a great night's sleep, that felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, but still close enough to other amenities that you don't feel isolated. I didn't have dinner on this occasion, due to other commitments, but the menu looked very enticing. Breakfast was well presented and tasted amazing. Just what i needed whilst working away from home.

Great stay, very comfortable although not a fan of the sloped roof in the India Mews. The soundproofing is a little poor, as could hear neighbours marching around. Otherwise, staff were excellent and attentive, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options and the grounds are spectacular. You feel transported to another, classier and more wonderful era.
