Best Western Claydon Hotel

We spent two nights at this hotel during a three week trip. Absolutely the best dinner of the entire trip, well presented and excellent flavor.

Nothing special. Don’t know when the pictures were taken but it’s not recently. Ok value for money. Very functional

Froendly service, comfortable room and supberb breakfast. Convenient for visiting Ipswich. Only one set of towels for 2 guests though.

Ideal for one nights stay, I personally couldn’t do anymore. Floor boards everywhere were squeaky so it meant you could hear everyone passing outside your room. Rooms were rather cramped.

Lovely location with plenty of car parking. Enjoyed our stay. Staff very polite and helpful.

The hotel was clean and the staff were super nice. The room was on what seemed to be a 3rd floor which we had to go up these tiny little stairs with luggage. That was hard. Then the bathroom had no flannels/ face cloths to wash with. We had to leave the hot water running in the bathroom for about 20 minutes before it was hot enough to wash with. Then we booked 2 nights but only needed 1 as our plans changed and even though they had not charged me yet and I cancelled a week before I got their they would not credit me for the 2nd night. I also paid for a full English breakfast and when we got to the hotel we were told that they don’t do that until 10am and only continental was available early morning and again would not refund me the extra fee for breakfast. Then we asked about getting dinner and was told as it was a holiday weekend they closed the restaurant leaving us no option but to go out to find food. NONE of this was disclosed up front when ordering which is why I should have received a credit back.

I stayed 2nights with my daughter ,at the best western Claydon hotel,, spotlessly clean, all staff where very nice and welcoming , restaurant was nice & welcoming ,and the food here is excellent .you have a good option choice of 1coarse, 2 course or 3 course meals . The area is very good, nice quiet village, not far from Ipswich and Stowmarket ,loved our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend,

Clean room with tea and coffee including oat milk. Bathroom small but clean and neat. Friendly staff who brought iron and ironing board to the room. Easy check in/out

Traffic noise from early morning, although rear rooms available. Otherwise all okay.
