Best Western Manor Hotel

Staff lovely, food and service reasonable, and the fridge and microwave is a great bonus, as are the takeout hot sandwiches at Breakfast, but the room could be a lot cleaner, it's not nice finding lots of dust when looking behind bedside cupboards for sockets to plug chargers into, plus the carpet was filthy

Everything was great with exception of the drain smell in the room. There clearly seems to be an issue with the shower drain emitting a bad odour.

All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful - a very welcoming experience. The hotel is gradually being upgraded so it's evident that care is going into its upkeep.

Great place, friendly staff but booked due to venue having a gym, but this was closed.

A good stop over for the night, a pub next door or you easily get an uber and travel further a field

I specifically booked this hotel because it said it had a gym like I do with all my bookings. When I arrived they didn’t have one

Paid extra for a king size bed and discovered it was two single beds pushed together which was incredibly uncomfortable , the bed had a huge lump in the middle. The heating did not work and was very cold. A small electric heater had been placed in the room before arrival but was incredibly insufficient . Also despite placing a do not disturb sign on the door the cleaners were banging on the door early in the morning and then expressing there outrage that they could not get in and clean. I remained silent throughout the conversation . One was adamant to enter and said “they’ve probably left and left the sign on the door let’s just go in” the other then voiced her frustration and said they would have to ”radio down” . I never realised occupying a room would be such a problem ? I then voiced my concerns to the person on checkout who was incredibly dismissive and implied it was my fault for not reporting the two beds pushed together. As you can appreciate , after showering and getting into bed to discover the beds parting in the middle I did not realise I should have gone to reception to raise concerns in the middle of the night . Overall highly unsatisfactory

Friendly staff

Arrived and room was cold, turned on rad still cold. Called reception and was told it was due on soon. Room warmed up only for it to turn off again in night. Woke up and 2am freezing, still not on at 5am so got up and left. Not great when it’s frosty outside

Comfortable and convenient stay - staff friendly and helpful. Property in a good location and clean and tidy.

Stayed two nights on a trip too visit relatives. Immediately made welcome by receptionist Shell, who also cooked our breakfasts fresh each morning. Room clean and spacious although phone reception poor (we were at the back of the hotel, although WiFi fine). Big brand appearance but family guest house friendliness.
