Room was good and received an unexpected upgrade. The breakfast was well above the standard that I have experienced elsewhere but the stand out thing about this hotel was the staff.

This is my regular go to hotel when visiting Essex/London. Very easy to get to, just off the M25 and very close to Lakeside Shopping Centre. There is plenty of parking. Check in is quick. Rooms are spacious and clean with a well stocked complimentary tea tray and complimentary toiletries. Bed is comfortable and shower is great. Staff are all very nice and friendly, especially Donna, Kirsty, Jamie and Theresa who always make you feel like a friend more than a guest. Will definitely be back again soon.

The staff are fantastic .. Paige on the front desk was just amazing. The hotel was very short staffed due to illnesses, so Paige had many hats! The hotel itself is clean, however it really does need to be decorated! There is a horrible smell of damp in the hallways and rooms! We had to move rooms due to a broken toilet!

Nice english breakfast, reception good when check inn but i called 15 times from room but never they answer phone .the day i was living i told them i will sleep until 1pm instead checking out jntil 11 , and whwn i am leaving i pay her the 15 pounds they ask extra because i wanted to sleep so badly after breakfast . But they said i got to go down immediately and pay . It was like i was going to cheat them and not pay later . I was dissappinted so i left 11 . Disappointed

Greeted at reception with a sigh by a guy with jeans and tee shirt wearing ear pods who didn’t come over as interested or professional. Hotel is more of a contractors hotel , dates and shabby , poor quality food

No heating in the room. Room stank of severe damp. Checked out 6pm and the hotel and this poor site refused to refund my money. I will never ever use Hotels.com to book a room again! So desperate to take peoples money and provide third world service in return!

The staff we met the morning at checkout while we got to breakfast too (30mins) early as got the times wrong, being a Sunday, kindly allowed us into the breakfast hall earlier than usual as we had a 3 hr drive soon after. Good man. Thank you
