Brambles Farm Peak District Lodge

We decided to stay at the cabin as it was relatively close to Alten towers. The location was beautiful, peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. On arrival we noticed there was a code lock but hadn't got a code to open the door. I called the owner and she was abrupt and gave me the code. The kids then wanted to go into the hot tub but found it was hardly bubbling and obviously wasn't working properly. Later that night i noticed there was no logs for the log burner. I text messaged the owner and got no reply, i text messaged the following night too and still never got a reply (Same number as i called before) so we didn't get the log burner experience with the kids. On trying to get our deposit back we got no reply from the owner. After getting accused of not checking my emails etc it was found she had typed in my email wrong from the start. Hence the delay in the return deposit. If you are renting you have to be approachable (Even say hi) and be sure all the facilities advertised 100% work as this makes all the difference when looking for accommodation.

Ideal place small family. We used it as a place near to Alton towers which is only a 10-15 min drive. A lovely setting very relaxing. There is everything you need for a short stay. Room for improvement.. but don’t most places? Would go back again

Beautiful setting, can’t ask for a better view. Lodge was clean. Checkout at 9am and having to clean and sort out bins put a massive downer on our otherwise lovely stay.
