Friendly environment to stay as guest. We enjoyed

Host is kind, helpful & friendly. House was immaculately clean with beautiful gardens. The decor is a little dated, the bed was very soft and the bedding too heavy and warm for the time of year. Breakfast offer is cereal, fruit, yoghurt & toast, tea/coffee.

I was made to feel very welcome and I look forward to returning. Thank you.

Great place to stay. Frank the host was lovely and was incredibly helpful. Our room was very spacious and the road was quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking can be a bit difficult in front of the guest house during high season. There is space at the back but tight for room. Frank and his lovely dog were very welcoming and Frank had good tips about where to eat and drink - what needs to be booked or walks ins, etc. Our room was clean and comfortable and there were some nice little touches like daily bottled water, chocolate biscuits with the tea making facility and toiletries. It feels a little strange sitting in the (spacious) kitchen for breakfast which we would have liked earlier than 9am. A cooked breakfast would also have been nice. Overall a good place to stay and great location for exploring the lakes.

Our host Frank was such a lovely guy. He made us feel at home. After 4 days we thought shame that we were unable stay longer. Accommodation is good, and the location was best for us, easy access to everywhere by walking.... Thanks again Frank......

Very friendly host, showed us to our room, which was lovely, bright & airy. It was spotlessly clean & the towels were the softest I have ever felt. We were there for 3 nights & would definitely go back if we’re in Windermere again. It’s about 20 minutes walk down to the lake, with lots of shops cafes & pubs. Very enjoyable stay

The property is in a fantastic location, in the centre of Windermere, close to the shops and bars. The service from the owner was fabulous. He is extremely friendly, kind and helpful.

Frank is a lovely guy who runs a wonderful B&B in a clean & well kept Victorian home, in a great location. He made us feel very welcome. We were lucky enough to stay when the garden was in full bloom.

Owner very friendly with lots of local advice, just off the main strip handy for amenities but quite.

Well and truly looked after from the minite we arrived to leaving nothing was too much trouble will stay again

Last minute (more or less) booking, but a real find. Just off the main street in Windermere, so very close to Restaurants/ bars etc but no issues. Private parking to the rear is a bit tight, no use if you have a monster 4x4 but otherwise doable. Lovely place, lots of nice touches, very attentive and personable service. Didn't see breakfast mentioned on Hotels.com website but very nice continental included. A great bolt hole for a couple of nights

We had an excellent stay at the College House in Windermere. The inn is in a historic building right in the center of town. The rooms are bright, tastefully furnished and equipped with all the amenities including a modern bathroom, flat screen TV and WiFi. Breakfast was also very good. Frank is the perfect host and my family and I really enjoyed talking to him. Overall a very nice experience.
