The hotel is centrally located. I had a comfortable room and it was clean. Plenty of coffee and tea. Needs refurbishing hotel wise but I wss surprised it was quiet and comfortable

The first room I was given had no shower screen, this had been ripped/removed off the wall prior to me arriving (room 101) Moved to a 2nd room (122) - Dirty walls, dirty towels, tea and coffee placed on a chair, with no chair to sit on to drink your drink, if you placed the kettle on the ground the lead was not long enough to reach the wall socket !! Hairs left in sink in the bathroom from previous occupants. no power sockets close to the bed to charge a phone etc, no table to sit at to work (just as well as there was no chair!!). Looked like the door had previously been kicked in, and the repair carried out was like a nursery school effort, they had kindly left a 4” screw sticking out of the door facing next to the handle for me to catch my hand on!! Outside the room, the rail in the stairwell had been ripped off the wall and a dangerous, very sharp piece of metal had been left sticking out the wall from the rail fixing !! I had previously stayed at this hotel, and although i could never claim the hotel was luxurious, rooms 124 and 119 were acceptable!!, but safe to say I will never return after my experience this week !

Despite a national number ringing me before we arrived and checking time of arrival. I waited in reception for 20 minutes to be shown to my room. I banged my head walking up the stairs, the room was beyond basic. A sheet on the bed no duvet, sash windows that rattled and let the cold in, the shower door fell off, no soap, a used pair on men’s pants found on the window cill in the en-suite, on second day there was a leak from the ceiling dripping/pouring onto both the toilet and shower, bedside sockets fell apart in my hands and the general condition of the communal areas of the hotel was both dated , dirty and un-usable. One wall hook in the room/en-suite so I had to choose between the towel (1 provided) my coat or clothes- none of which I was prepared to put on the floor given the cleanliness was set by the used pants found!
