Beautiful Hotel.great beds and bed linen . Had best sleep in a long time, Had a bar meal enjoyed Breaded Chicken Burger , reasonably priced. Efficient breakfast room it was quite busy . Sat down right away and excellent buffet , only criticism. No brown bread for toast, only white .

I was staying for one night and generally I can’t fault the hotel for its friendly staff, good food and the comfy bed. However I was in a single room, my choice, but the bathroom was far too small. Not sure what the other rooms are size wise, but don’t choose a single room. The TV on the wall was bigger!

This is a lovely hotel in an absolutely beautiful setting. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, and the restaurant manager went out of his way to make my daughter’s 20th birthday special with complimentary pancakes and a candle. The hotel was clean, felt freshly decorated. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and steam room, which were all lovely. Overall, I really liked the feel of the place and the people, and I would stay here again. That said, the hotel doesn’t quite feel like a 4-star yet. Service was often slow, especially in the bar on our first night, as there simply weren’t enough experienced staff. Some important details were missing in the rooms: a floor-length mirror, coffee maker, mini fridge, robes for everyone (we were four), flannels, tissues, conditioner, and lamps by the sofa bed. Our spacious suite actually felt rather bare and would have benefited from some extra furniture. A water cooler on each floor would also have been appreciated. The second bed, a sofa bed, was too small for our adult children, though the staff did kindly offer us an additional single room. Breakfast was fine, but a higher-quality bread would have been welcome. Some facilities were unavailable (the sauna and lift were both out of order), and the drinks were disappointing-cocktails from a packet and a poor-tasting Guinness. With more staff and attention to these small but important details, the hotel could truly live up to its 4 star rating.

It was an interesting location . The lift needs to be fixed. It was shabby compared to the fine decor.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, staff all very friendly and food very good in restaurant, especially breakfast.

The hotel is stunning and the grounds around it are incrdible. The promenade walk was out of this world. Very friendly staff and helpful. The pool is very clean. We had our cuckapoo with us and they were very loving towards him. Dogs are not allowed in the dinning room which wasnt an issue at all as we were allowed to stay on the bar side/dinning room. Lots of choices for food and breakfast. I would dedinitely go back. The rooms are huge and have just been refurbished. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

Excellent Hotel only problem was to hot because of heatwave and no air conditioning but this would not be a problem in a usual visit to the area

This was magnificent. The room was huge 34’x25’. In magnificent condition. They were going through a major renovation but this will make it even better. Highly recommended

The environment is nice and far from the crowd. But the hotel is still under construction some facility is not available.

Lovely hotel. I was upgraded to a classic double and the yoom was gorgeous . Nice staff . Very helpful. They were having an up grade and refurbishment whilst I was there but it didn't affect my stay . I would definitely stay here again

Stayed here before it’s an excellent hotel, currently lots of renovations ongoing which can only enhance it more

We loved the hotel. Staff were so friendly especially Isaac. He couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely going to go back there.

A superb hotel in a beautiful location. Great staff, food and facilities. Love it!

Very disappointed! We liked the rooms, the staff, the food. The location was excellent, just a few steps from the rail station and a walk through lovely gardens to the shopping and restaurant area. However, five of us went for a spa weekend to celebrate a birthday. The spa was a great disappointment. The tiny steam room had a peculiar unpleasant smell. The jacuzzi did not work nor did the only shower in the pool area. Only one of the showers in the ladies’ changing room worked. A lot of our time was spent at Lake Windermere instead, paddle boarding and swimming (in the rain).

The room and hotel was elaborate and classy, with a kingsize 4 poster bed. The drapes around the bed and at the window, were swags and tails, with the period furniture that fits in with the hotel. All very grand. The only downfall was that the window was a bit shaky causing a banging noise, which disturbed our sleep at times.

Staff were very friendly and attentive and provided excellent service. Great location of hotel. Great food. Hotel cleanliness in aminety areas and rooms could have been better.

We've stayed here before and been very happy with it..the breakfast is superb andcthe gardens lovely.

Staff and manager were super helpful from helping me with my luggage, giving me directions, and letting me use the phone to report my car accident. Definitely would recommend.
