Holiday Inn BARNSLEY M1, JCT.37 by IHG, an IHG Hotel

We was leaving hotel when we went to get in our car our front tyre was completely flat . The lovely man on the front desk got us a pump so we could get to a garage with it amazing service thank you

More attention to cleaning in public areas Reception should have a member of staff around at all times so customer are not left waiting or having to look for staff

Excellent food for dinner , breakfast not the hottest under the hot lamps , overall a good stay 👍

The hotel has decorated the bedrooms which is good. The bathroom was not clean and smelt of urine. They need to increase the size of the car parking spaces as there is no room to get in and out of your car due to others parking too close.

Being a stranger it was hard to find ,and not lit up enough to see at night,went round and round Barnsley and Did worth , not enough information to get there .

Room was clean and quiet. Lots of parking spaces. Easy and quick check in and check out. Breakfast is just acceptable.

Room was freezing. When complained they gave my wife a heater that didn't work. Staff on reception didn't care.

Reported room phone not working. Never got fixed while l was there 5 days Plug in sink didnt hold water. Kept leaking Room door rattled

Everything was fine accept the TV. It was driven by the wi-fi. When l logged into prime l found the tv buffering presumably at busy times. It spoilt the tv viewing on certain channels. Luckly l had my tablet which seemed to handle it better.

On my stay i was in room 221.. in room 220 from around 21:00 i believe a gorilla entered coitus with an unknown entity... judging by noise at least.. the groaning was load enough that they may as well have been in my room.. This lasted an impressive 3 minutes.. an hour later they had another go... and then another... and a final session at around midnight.. I was genuinely impressed to be fair.. barring the lack of sleep.. that someone can make love like a tapas meal... lots of small portions... but due to the lack of noise from his partner.. ultimately unsatisfying.. Hotel was fine otherwise..

Although quite basic and is situated at a motorway junction (No. 37 - M1), this hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful, courteous and effective. It has direct access to the M1 motorway. There is a restaurant (Brooklands) in the complex which serves an assorted fare.

Large free car park Quick and friendly check in Clean, comfortable and modern bedroom Food in restaurant was lovely and great choices. Breakfast was buffet and available from 6:30am. Les’s than 10 minutes from the M1 Jcn 37.

Holiday Inn Barnsley was better than I was expecting. Staff seem friendly and attentive at all times. Our Twin room was comfortable and clean. The food was lovely,we had a breakfast/dinner package. We were impressed with the quality of food. Breakfast was buffet, but really nice options. Overall impressive, only small observation.The bath has a little bit of mould on grouting, toilet seat was a little loose. Would definitely go back to a Holiday Inn.
