Wonderful location and very handy to Nottingham.

Lovely accommodation

Nice comfortable twin room with everything we needed for a one night stay. Peaceful area surrounded by countryside. I didn’t receive a check in email from hotels.com so had to contact the owners via phone, they were very efficient and helpful.

Nice clean room, warm welcome.

We had a lovely quiet peaceful stay and will definitely be back. We loved exploring the grounds and would love to find out more about the history of the lodge.

We arrived around 4pm on check in day, we were met by a young man who seemed to be a gardener or maintenance man. He was unsure what room we were meant to have but as there was a key in one door he suspected it was that room. We unpacked and had a knock at the door to say we should be in the room next door. As we had used the toilet and filled the wardrobe we asked if it was possible we stay in this room. After a phone call, the young man came back and told us it was ok to stay in this room. Room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was shabby but clean. We were unable to open the window to stop condensation forming overnight and after showering (there is a fan activated in the bathroom when the light is on). Our room looked bigger in the photo’s. Could benefit from a hook on the back of room door and maybe a shelf under the tv. Not much surface space for clock, book, phone, medication etc.

We had booked another hotel in the area and was told on arrival there were no rooms We found this property and booked very last minute an hour before check in They were really friendly and accommodating with all our requests Plenty of additional heating as it was a cold night so a lovely cosy room Excellent would highly recomend

Very quiet area. Owners friendly and polite. Maybe worth knowing the post code on Maps takes you to a different property.

Lovely location and nice and quiet. Quite small room and needed a bit of TLC but our visit was very short. Without breakfast we thought the cost a bit high but we needed the location for an early work start the next day.

The property was beautiful the room was very nice has everything you need. The card in the room was very helpful with food ideas for our stay. Adrian the owner was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would prefer to see is a bath mat. I sure it would have warmed up with the heater on but as the room was nice a toasty we didn’t want the other heater on too. The floor in the bathroom was freezing cold so just a mat on the floor would be a great small addition to make a big difference. Lovely place though and parking just by the room too so even better ☺️

The room was cram. The bathroom was extremely cold. I mean below freezing. Tiny TV. No breakfast or any food. Generally poor.
