The room is very small and has no kettle or anything. The shower is in a level so be careful as we both hurt our ankles and dips by the toilet to the shower. However the staff are very friendly

It was heat! The stag was friendly.

For the price we paid for the hotel not a single complaint, room was clean and staff were helpful with advice.

Check-in only allowed sharply at 3pm, complimentary coffee was provided, luggage storage was free before check-in but 2 pounds per piece was needed after check-out. Overall value for money and no remarkable things I dislike.

Don't let the name fool you — this functions much more like a basic hostel than a hotel, yet they charged close to £100 per night. Given that price, the lack of cleanliness and comfort was completely unacceptable. The property is quite far from the train station, and the room itself was so small that we couldn't even fully open our suitcases. Worse, the room was dirty: the floor clearly hadn't been cleaned, the curtains were stained, the table was dusty, and there was pink mold on the bathroom wall. Most disgusting of all was the bedding. The sheets were clearly not properly washed, there was hair left on them, and the blanket was covered in black spots. We barely slept for the nights we were there because the bed felt so filthy. On top of that, there was no air conditioning, and the ventilation was so poor that we were sweating immediately after taking a shower. The only bright side was the staff, who were friendly and helpful, but great service cannot make up for these awful conditions. We will avoid this place at all costs in the future. Next time, I would gladly pay £20–£30 per night more to stay at a decent hotel like the Holiday Inn.

Firstly the bar wasn't open when asked a member of staff why they just said its closed. checked in at 3 went to the room. It was that clean. Sink wouldn't drain properly. The building just had a weird smell to it. Later there was no hot water & the weather been so hot needed a shower. Dont think we will be back there anytime soon!

Room was small but functional, reception check in & out was ok. This is essentially a hostel with some double rooms with private bathrooms, don’t expect too much but centrally located & was ok for 2 nights.

Small, functional but spotlessly clean room and pretty quiet - slept well, just what I needed for the night after a big day/night out in the Toon!

Room Wasn't so clean,

All gd so far. I only missed a Kettel in the room.

My private room was clean and equipped with a nice premium range of toiletries. Free tee, coffee and hot chocolate station was a nice touch too, and reception staff kindly kept some milk for me in the fridge.
