Please don't book the accommodation, no one was picking up the phone when we called on the number provided to get the room key. We had to find another room in the middle of the night because we couldn't get in touch with the apartment owner.

Our apartment instructions from Hotels.com advised us to ring the owner a couple of days before our arrival. To cut a long story short, Hotels.com provided us with two telephone numbers, one was constantly engaged and another ending in '53' just kept ringing and ringing. Even Hotels.com had problems getting in contact with the owner. After looking at a previous customer review, we found that the owner was contactable via the reception at CROMWELL INTERNATIONAL HOTEL down the next street where we went to sort out our stay and were given the key. It had been very stressful trying to get in contact with someone about our stay - this should not have happened to us. We arrived at our apartment which was well situated in relation to museums, Chelsea and other sights. The apartment had two bedrooms with clean bedding. However, the apartment is very ‘tired’ and needs decorating and updating. The back bedroom has a boiler in it in the corner and it can be difficult getting to sleep at night with it’s constant ‘clicking’ and firing up every few minutes. There is no extractor fan in the shower room so there is mould along the top of the ceiling. Also, there is a large broken tile on the bottom step of the shower area which needs attention. Despite the few negative points, we made the most of out stay at the apartment. It’s a shame the owners haven’t renovated the apartment as it could be really lovely.

Terrible communication with the owner of the property from the beginning (tried calling 2 days to get check in instructions and there was no answer until the night before check in and when in the apartment for another issue and never got a call back). The cigarette smell in the apartment was very strong and the boiler stopped working several times so heating didn't work properly (in winter time). Also the television never worked. Tried contacting the owner but never answered. NOT RECOMMENDED at all. Location is good but the rest is terrible.

We arrived a little earlier than arranged, 2:40 instead of 3:00. Tried to call owners to see if they could come a little earlier, as it was pouring with rain and we were standing out in it, no answer. Tried several times to contact them,40 minutes, never got an answer. Called Hotels.com. After a further 30 minutes, they were able to contact the owners. Hotels.com then told me we had to walk to a hotel about a half mile away, in the pouring rain, to collect the keys as the owners were not coming. Not being familiar with London, Hotels.com had to direct me to the hotel to collect the keys. UNBELIEVABLE, over an hour and a half waiting in the rain before we could get in. No apology or any other contact with the owners. WILL NEVER BOOK THIS APARTMENT AGAIN AND STRONGLY ADVISE NOBODY DOES!!

We visited for the winter wonderland in Hyde park and the apartment location was perfect. The apartment had everything needed for a short stay the beds kitchen and bathroom were all clean and tidy and basic kitchen appliances availible for longer stays. Price was reasonable for the area, time if year and location and would stay again if needed. Please note collection of keys should be from the cromwell international only a few minutes from apartment if unable to give accurate meet time to the host.

The place was hard to find, no sign or notice, we end up paying the taxi driver extra (with meter) to ring the owner and check the correct address. the place was very dusty, one double bed was located on the attic, which we cannot not stand up. the stair design was dangerous, heater, oven and TV not working. no bath mat supplied when the bath room has stairs and broken tiles. not pleasant at all, Hotel .com should have a standard check before listing this type of place. no lifts we end up helping another tenant located on the fourth floor with her 25kg luggage, next door tenant complained about have to ask another tenant to let her into her own apartment for few days before getting her own key and was unable to contact the owner or Manager. the only thing is, its close to Kensington Palace and some shops. not worth the price we paid for. 4 chairs only for a booking of 6 people and our group is not fussy, happy with basic essentials. Good location and near to tube, shops and restaurants close by for all your needs. Basic facility, with a very noisy front door that slammed shut each time people entered or exited. We had a normal domestic combination boiler in our room which serviced the whole building, so each time someone in the building turned on the hot tap, the boiler would fire up, this was noisy. In the morning several people using the shower at the same time, meant the water was initially hot but then went cold as it was not meant for this kind of use.

In spite of some trepidation (due to some reviews) the two of us found the apartment to be very good. Although it was a tad on the small side (apartment 1a), bearing in mind the location (close to tube station and plenty of eateries), it was good value for money. One could not fault the cleanliness throughout, the bed was comfortable, towels and shower very good, kitchen equipment similar to many an apartment we have stayed in in the past and tea and coffee sachets were very welcome. Since the apartments do not have a reception we decided to go to Cromwell Hotel from square one and ask for the key there. Within two minutes of waiting the key was produced, one of the young ladies gave us instructions as to how to get there and after a short walk we found the apartments building - slightly off Gloucester Road. If we will ever be in need of overnight stay in this particular part of London we would not hesitate to stay at these apartments again.

Very difficult to find property as it's down a little lane off Main Street above a restaurant. Once inside very shabby but ok. Would have spent the night however no hot water at all. We drove home instead of staying so the kids could go to bed clean. Also note there are 3 double beds but one of them is on a lift platform above another. No privacy for either and dangerous for young children.
