What a lovely hotel. The rooms are all themed after various writers - as befitting a former library. We were given a very warm welcome - and everything about the hotel was absolutely perfect. The centre is easily accessed (DLR, Rail and bus's right outside) and there are plenty of things to look at and do around Limehouse (very different to the past). If you've ever wondered what happens to all the bric-a-brac in charity shops, stay here and find out! Highly recommended - doubt that you'll find better value for money in London.

A bit disappointed in my stay at the Limehouse Library Hotel. The hotel had a nice, quirky atmosphere and the rooms’ unique themes were a nice touch. However, the location is a bit inconvenient to get to train stations, and the front desk staff seemed unprepared at check-out.

Nice room with cosy decor. Quirky building with character. Soundproofing could be hugely improved. Noise from DLR - trains every two minutes - disturbed sleep and meant spending any time in room during day wasn’t relaxing. Had to buy earplugs. Bathroom was also very cold.

The check in was smooth and was then walked to my room which was nice. The room was spotless and nicely themed. I was in the Charles Dickens room which was lovely but don't think it deserves the Deluxe King title looking at some of the other rooms available. Room was spacious but the extra chairs in the room aren't comfortable at all to use so spent my time in there watching the tiny tv sat on the bed or even using my laptop which is a shame for the price I payed. There was a coffee machine and kettle which was great and bathroom was a fair size. The air con/ heating didn't really heat the room which should be checked as it's winter. The sauna was lovely and quiet but there wasn't anywhere to get drinking water. The water fountain was not working both days I used it. The whole theming of the hotel is rather something, it's busy but absolutely works for this very different style hotel.

We were surprised to find that the hotel was down a long road from the nearest underground station--and Commercial Road is not a friendly street. We ended up taking cabs after being out late at night. We also had some glitches with the room, but the staff was really lovely and friendly, and fixed everything we asked (replacing a broken light, etc). The breakfast is very fresh and diverse. I have to mention that the hotel is absolutely covered with small ceramic figurines -- 4 clowns on the reception desk, for example. On the good side, we loved the big stacks of plates, all vintage and different.

The room was clean but on the smaller side. Suitcases needed to be placed on the ground which made navigating the room quite difficult. We asked questions about nearby restaurants but got limited suggestions. We figured out that the area has some great options if you walk around
