Mrs Puddleducks

We were a family staying with our dog for a Lake District break. This home is really well located for the shops and cafes in the centre of Windermere which are a 1 minute easy walk away. We could also walk down to the Lake on nice walks in 15/20 mins and walking into Bowness which was about 1 mile. The property is spread over 3 floors and 3 shower rooms/toilets was a great bonus. Hot tub worked really well and was a nice treat and parking for 2 cars (1 off street, 1 with a residents permit). Wasn’t the most cosy sofa/living room (there are 2 small sitting rooms) but for the price we paid we were happy. Fresh and clean hotel style towels and bedding. The booking is actually with Sykes Cottages which we didn’t realise when booking and we do prefer smaller companies - we had to wait 15 mins on the phone when we had a query and they don’t action any requests sent via hotels.com! Highchair and travel cot they provided looked in good condition. You could tell it was dog-friendly in the living rooms, but maybe we just got unlucky and stayed after a long haired dog!
