Oakley Court

We go to Oakley court few times per year and we love it.

Very odd experience it was like being in a ghost hotel half the hotel seem to be closed down with the only ones eating dinner conservatory very tired a real shame the amount of plants in the dining areas with no pots cobwebs and looked very unkempt spoilt the ambience of the rooms The dim lighting in the evening made it very difficult to see in certain rooms, especially in the library. The only room really lit up and looked ready for guest was the lounge area. The menu seemed too extravagant for just the two of us dining there and I was uncertain how fresh the food would be knowing that they were catering for minimal guests a lady found out there were less than 10 guests in that night spa facilities very . No guidance on how to use the facilities on where to go or where to get towels from the steam room wasn’t very good and the sauna is neither the sauna seem to be working at home overall very overpriced for the surface we got at this particular time I appreciate it’s out season Therefore the price should reflected the service and amenities available at that time

Functional weekend away hotel in the winter.

Lord of the Manor feel. Staff excellent. Real fireplaces in sitting room. 5 star quality. The bedrooms in main propert are worth the extra. Breakfast is excellent.

Was a lovely get away. Was during Storm Darragh and was the perfect location for cosyness with the fire roaring and just very relaxing

For all of its English quirky charm and beautiful setting, we will visit again. Wonderful

A unique Gothic property, welcoming, beautiful view from the room (even without the river view), lovely walks, atmospheric. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property. Views over the river. Staff excellent. Food excellent. Rooms clean and large. May need a PhD in plumbing to operate the shower.

Perfect and luxurious.

Beautiful grounds and property. Staff was incredible, we were able to check in early and checkout late which is a major plus. Only downside was a ton of children around as well as yappy, misbehaved dogs. Walls are very thin, so we were woken up by screaming kids and aggressive barking little dogs a few times.

We love this place! The staff are super welcoming and attentive - the grounds are gorgeous and the food is delicious. Rooms have everything you could need or want. We’ll be back!

A beautiful, quiet taste of English countryside. Be sure to visit the Michelin rated pubs in the tiny nearby town of Bray.

Absolutely wonderful!!

We came back here to celebrate an anniversary having visited 4 years ago! It is still a stunning venue with beautiful grounds. The joint venture with Soho House has uplifted some of the decor etc. but in terms of service it has been a significant decline. On first introduction the staff uniform feels in stark contrast with the style of venue and tone trying to be set and did not say '5 star hotel' more Holiday Inn Express. The room refurbishment is lovely, some art on the the very empty walls would be welcome and a larger TV considering how far it is away would also improve it. Also worth noting, if you're over 5' 10 you won't fit under the shower. The spa wasn't being used by any guests, the pool and hot tub were amazing. The dinner service is again very casual, sit anywhere etc. the staff were nowhere to be seen and when you did find someone they had no clue about the menu itself and considering the prices that's pretty disappointing. The breakfast equally, you have to push to get something a la carte other than the buffet which was enormously overpriced considering what was available. Overall, wonderful being able to revisit, the building is still stunning and the redecoration makes each space of the hotel enjoyable but the service throughout was poor and that is such a big part of the hotel experience.
