Fantastic Hotel and location , unforgettable experience

We stayed here for one night for my daughter's birthday. The location is brilliant for various sightseeing activities and we got a cab to the West End for a show. The hotel was really lovely and the staff very helpful. They had accidentally left a complimentary bottle of fizz in the room for someone else and when I called them about it they said I was very welcome to keep it, which was a nice touch. We paid for a room with a nice view (London Eye, Big Ben etc), which was definitely worth it. The room itself and bathroom were lovely. The hotel very helpfully has a place for you to arrive earlier in the day and store your suitcase so you can go sightseeing. The only downside was that when we came back at the official check in time, the room was not ready and we had to sit around for a long time waiting - not ideal. Overall, a very nice one night stay.

Large hotel!! Quite a change from our little rooms in Europe. There is no personal feel but the accommodations were very nice and comfortable. Hot water kettle and Nescafé packets in the room which was great. 2 complementary water bottles and a refill station on the 2nd floor. AC was incredible! Sink a bit clogged but good enough- I am used to hotel sinks not draining seems a constant problem. Great location by Big Ben and London Eye. A bit expensive for our budget but we did it anyway. Read the reviews and see if it fits your budget! Different nights have different rates.

I’ve stayed at this hotel on many occasions over the last 10 years and always enjoyed it. However this stay was very disappointing. When we checked into our room the beds had been stripped and the pillows/duvets left without any linen. We were told at check in that the room would be sorted out during the course of the day. We returned to our room at around 4pm and the beds had still not been sorted out. I spoke to one of the cleaning staff and showed her the beds. She said that they would sort them out as soon as possible. We then headed to Wembley for a concert and returned at 12.30am, at which point we were very tired and ready to sleep. We returned to the room to find that the beds still hadn’t been sorted out. I phoned guest services and insisted they be sorted immediately and was told that they would be. We waited for another 15 minutes but no one arrived so I went down to reception and was told that the cleaning staff had all gone home and that guest services team should not have told me that the beds would be sorted at that time. The reception staff then arranged for an alternative room but we had to exit the old room first, meaning that we had to bring all of our belongings to reception and then head back upstairs. We eventually got to bed at 1.15am. A hotel room is not much use without usable beds. I messaged the hotel on Sunday to provide feedback but have not had a response. Poor.

Check-in was quick and easy, which set a great tone for our one-night stay. We were given a room on a quiet floor and had a completely uninterrupted night. Unlike many London hotels where you run into maintenance issues, everything in the room worked exactly as it should. It was a smooth, trouble-free experience overall.

Location was fantastic. Right at the end of all the developed areas on the south Bank next to the eye of London. Easy to walk to the Waterloo neighborhood to get dinner. Very disappointed that there was no indication that the “ superior “ room that we booked had no exterior window. Not a dealbreaker. We still might have chosen the hotel. But we did spend quite a bit of money and would’ve expected at least an exterior window even with a mediocre view . But our window only opened into an interior atrium that really had nothing in it. Might as well have had no window at all. It’s almost as if they designed it so that they could avoid calling it a windowless room. That said the room was very nice. Spacious by European standards. Good quality mattresses. Bathroom was nice and functional with good water pressure. We didn’t attempt to use any of the fancy amenities like the swimming pool or the executive lounge. It’s also disappointing that the areas shown in the advertising material with a view of Westminster ( presumably this was the “ executive lounge “) were not accessible to the public. Still a decent hotel that we might’ve still chosen regardless. But it would’ve been good to have known about these details.

I visit this hotel every other year and have never had the issues that I had during my stay this time. We had two consecutive bookings and were told we had to pay for the last booking in full before we could be checked in to the current booking. When we checked out of the current booking our room was not ready and had to wait untill 3pm to check into the booking that we were told to pay for up front. ...we were also told that they only clean the rooms every two to three days to be eco friendly and we have never been told that before during the last couple of times we have stayed there. 🤔, so here we are paying a lot of money for a hotel room and can't even get house keeping! We had to constantly ask for hand towels because there were not enough. The shower hose was leaking and water was all over the floor. For the amount of money that you pay for this hotel, you would think that the cost of the room would match the service. On top of that I was double charged for my stay and I have reached out to them via message three times and no one has responded. Is this a nice hotel? I think it use to be due to the location and the size of the rooms, but the quality has declined tremendously! It seems that they are lacking the staff to keep the top notch service that they use to have!

Great hotel in a great location. Friendly staff, automated check in easy to use. The Primo bar has an amazing array of drinks and food. Didn't try the Sushi restaurant, but the brasserie was also very good. The rooms were clean and please, but some of the fittings need maintenance. The TVs kept rebooting themselves, the phone in the living room didn't work and a part of the shower came off. Other than those little niggles it was an excellent stay in an excellent location. I would stay again.
