We agreed with some of the other reviews, that it a bit quirky in parts. Bits are a bit old fashioned, but everything is very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Only real negative was that things that would be easy and cheap to fix were not done, things like squeaking doors and replacing blackened silicone sealant around the bath. There is a pub about 10 minutes walk away serving good beer and food. Never used it, but I believe the chippy across from the pub is also OK. Generally happy and would stay again.

What a little gem we found, suited our travelling plans, was central to places we planned on visiting. This place is so picturesque set at the bottom on a hill, majestic trees all the way up the hill, with a stream running around the front. We were warmly greeted by a wonderful lady, Jenny. The room was spacious and very well looked after. We will definitely be booking here again, and thank you for making us feel welcomed🤗

Bed: great quality, excellent sleep. Breakfast: good quality, well cooked. Interesting place. Not instagramable but putting aside the dated asthmatics it delivered what we needed.

This is a beautiful property with a lot of history. Jenny the host is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a decent pub down the road for food and drink which only a 5 min walk. Jenny also arranged a great breakfast for my dietary requirements (vegan and gluten free). Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Only small complaint was that the bed had a footboard that meant my husband (6"4) was uncomfortable.

Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom. Lovely hosts that made a nice breakfast. No evening meal here so try The Lanivet Arms 5 minutes away. Great food.

A four poster bed in a 600 year old building run by a lovely lady. What's not to like.

This is a good B&B but slightly surprised by the number of outstanding reviews. Our room was ok, but nothing special, quite basic and dated but very clean. The beds could have been more comfortable and need replacing. The breakfast was very fresh, generous with a decent selection. The quality was fine but not outstanding. For over £100 a night we expected it to be better. Overall it was fine for 1 night but unlikely we'd go back.

Lovely old building but in need of some TLC. However, friendly staff and good breakfast, although we had to choose our breakfast on booking in. Room was clean and comfortable. Ideal for a stop over when walking the Saints Way.

Very friendly and helpful. Building is wonderful and room is very clean. Breakfast are exceptional! (Photos) Dog friendly, I was with my dog, chihuahua. As we booked twin bed room, the bed was quite small. That’s the only minor thing. It’s located by busy road, however it was very quiet. Very nice little walk around building. ( stream and trees) Owner Jenny and other staff are very friendly and polite. Pleasant stay. You do need to plan your evening meal ahead as there are not much restaurants nearby unless you drive 10 minutes to Bodmin. Pub nearby (Lanivet Inn) is very popular and good food (very reasonable price! ) , however you need to book in advance as it’s gets full. ( we were too late to get seat for second day) I would highly recommend St Benets Abbey !!!

Stayed at abbey a few times and staff are excellent and breakfast very good. Just remember this is a old abbey and as such has its own quacks but in a good way.
