Stansted Airport Lodge

It was difficult to spot arriving in the dark. It was an impersonal stay.

This place was clean staff are friendly but needs updating & TV stations are missing including BBC1.

Manager was very friendly and room clean and very spacious. Unfortunately, there was water by the toilet pan as it was leeking . This could be a really nice hotel witb a bit of TLC . Was really good price also.

Good clean room. Poor shower but for a one night stay Id use it again. Free Parking.

Needs a bit of modernising but fit for purpose

Conveniently placed, closer to the airport. Fairly clean room but it needs updating, renovating the floors and put new tiles. Currently, the tiles are a hazard as someone is likely to trip and fall especially on the right as you walk into the room. The towels were stained as is shown on the picture. The remote control for the television is broken and needs replacing. Thank you.

Cleaners are a nightmare ,the female has a fog horn mouth and the Pakistani one is a hateful miserable man who complains about cleaning your room after 5 days ! Bangs on your door aggressively for the slightest reason .no towels, thin blankets no shower gel no washing allowed on sight.charge you for parking .mattresses are dirty and unclean with springs popping out .At weekends full,of pissed up kids on drugs partying till silly o’clock .

This hotel is only to be considered for a night's stay between travel. We were a bit surprised Wotif would list the hotel as it is , as noted by a reviewer, closer to a hostel than a hotel. Still, the shower was hot and towels were supplied on asking. And the wifi worked. And we slept just fine. The bus to the airport was close by. I would be looking elsewhere next time, unless I was on a really tight budget.

This definitely is dont judge on first appearance!! Arrived & paked in the only 1 disabled space, but 1s better than none. Entered into a spacious reception & greeted politely, oyr roon was just to the right so access ideal. We opened the room door & thought geeat a good size Unfortunately thats were the praise ends!! The room had damaged flooring a bed with no headboard no mattress or pillow protectors, only 1 towrl in the room a kettle that did not work lights that didnt work & although there was wifi instructions in the reception & room neither worked. The bathroom had rust and rails that fell apart - the shower had missing rail connections so you coukdnt adjust the height. On our return in the evening the parking area was completely full, random vehicles including lots of taxis so no where to park

The property not far from Stansted airport and with in 3 miles radius choice of shopping centre for last minutes shopping. To find a place to eat as advertised at the property a restaurant but there is not which is disappointing.

The room stunk of Bad body odour, the cups were dirty around the handles, floor was coming apart, thudding from upstairs so sleep was poor. Was advertised has having a restaurant but wasn’t one. The only positive was the man on reception was very polite and helpful.

First room the tv was broken. I went back ro reception and they gave me the key to another room and asked me to move. I did then checked and the new rooms tv was broken too. They suggedted i move again but i asked for a replacement tv which arrived but the screen was sticky-taped on and with no coax cable i couldd not get local tv channels. The rooms were tired and worn and need a refit. Very basic budget accomodation.

Very Basic. Bed was OK. Only one towel which got wet as the shower had no curtain at its end, so water sprayed out. No food so I had to walk a mile and a half to a pub and back in the heat of June 21st. Not good for my age bracket (elderly). Very handy for Stansted airport (which is why I booked it) but the taxi cost me about £25 for a 7 minute trip! I wouldn't go again.

Booked because the plane was arriving so late at night & wanted a nights sleep before having to drive home. Later realised that hotel didn’t have 24 hour check in so if plane was delayed we wouldn’t be able to check in. Booked another hotel instead. Very annoyed that a hotel describing itself as an “airport” hotel does not make this clear up front.

This place is for convenience, not luxury! The room I was given was next to a busy road and also a residents room who had the TV on quite loud most of the night! The bed was fine, but the bathroom in poor condition and smelly. The staircase and landing area was also dirty. The only plus was it being a short bus ride to and from the airport.

It was... almost all right. People over the phne friendly and lovely. Place... well, poor. No way around it - its poor, dirty. It was priced accordingly, but yes - by far the worse we tried. Would I use again? In company of 3 mates and 2 bottles - possibly. With my lady - no, I think I wouldn't. It actually was less than enough. Very sorry (hate leaving bad reviews, especially when staff nice), but this really was a poor place. I suggest to spend 20 quid more on something else.

Could have done without the early morning rude awakening we got telling us to check out three hours before time- customer service training should be provided asap for this man, otherwise nice place if you just want somewhere to lay your head

It wasn’t unclean, but felt like it was; it was more worn out. There was a wierd smell in the air. It says it has a restaurant and bar, but not at 9pm it didn't. They told me it was better to order a take away, but the wait times were too long. So i ended up without (should have bought a sandwich before getting my Uber). There was no transport to or from the hotel (or i.would get a bus and.walk 27 minutes) which is why I got an Uber.

No towel left in the room. TV was smashed and didn’t work. Bathroom wasn’t clean.

Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Reception attendant welcoming and helpful. Great for the price. A little noisy when guests arrived but our room was very nearby so a bit unavoidable.
