The Beaches Guest House

Room clean,warm and comfortable with great views of the abbey. Guesthouse is within walking distance of attractions,bars and eateries. Great host who was welcoming and gave us great info about the area. Parking permit also provided. Breakfast was lovely

A Hidden Gem in Whitby! Our experience at The Beaches was simply wonderful, largely thanks to Tamsin, a genuinely perfect hostess. The accommodations were spotlessly clean, and the location couldn't be better, perfectly situated for exploring the historic Abbey, fascinating museums, and charming pubs. The breakfast was a real highlight, delicious! We will wholeheartedly recommend this guest house and are certainly planning our return trip.

Nothing was too much for the owner to deal with made us feel welcome from the start and made sure our parking pass was placed in the car before the wardens came around breakfast was lovely plenty on the plate good choice of cereal thanks again will defo stay agin in the future

Didnt appreciate being placed on the very top floor, at least 50 steep stairs. Would have been nice to get a call in advance before allocating the rooms. We booked well in advance. Breakfast nice, host friendly, bed rock hard.

Lovely host, clean room and comfortable bed. Really good value. Location was superb with easy access to the town and the open top bus could be caught at the end of the road. Parking permit was really appreciated If I was going to be critical I would add a loo brush and a refillable soap dispenser but these are nice to haves.

Overall our stay was good we felt the establishment was in need of modernising. eg. internet availability

Was pretty hard 2 find. Same number on street. Room was very clean, lovely soft towels, but the room was very small and hot. Not even a electric fan to plug in. The breakfast was tasty and fresh made to order

I was really pleased with the stay Tamsin was lovely and nothing was too much effort, I only have one criticism the shower was too small and there was mould in the roof but everything else was spot on

Tamzin was a very good host and provided an excellent breakfast. The only thing i did not like was climbing of the stairs we was on the middle floor.

The room was on the second floor but was just about manageable for me with a back condition. The room was clean, a bit of updating would be good as it was quite dated. The room faced the main road and was busy with traffic and also very noisy with the amount of seagulls that gathered but that is normal in a seaside town. Tamsin the owner was lovely and very helpful and accommodating. The English breakfast was lovely and included in the price. I would stay there again but preferably choose a room on the first floor next time.

Clean, welcoming, great breakfast, good location, hot water was excellent and lots of tea and coffee in the room.

Reasonably priced. Breakfast consisted of good quality meats and plenty of it. Parking is on the street with a permit
