The Brownswood

Property is perfect no complaints.

Fantastic little spot. Surprisingly quiet considering it's over a pub. Never heard any of the noise from the pub and stayed over on a Friday night as well. My room was tucked up and away on the opposite side of the building from the main pub dining area. Breakfast was absolutely lovely as was the breakfast room. (Didn't hurt that it was sunny every day that I was there.)

If I could place more stars I would. From the staff to the rooms. Everything was amazing. Truly happy with our stay and will be staying again in the future. Special thank you to Oscar for all his help and great suggestions. Highly recommend!

A beautiful room with all the amenities my friend and I needed for our short break in London, before Christmas. We will definitely use The Brownswood again and will recommend to others!

The Brownswood was a beautiful guest room in close proximity to Finsbury Park. The room provided a great place to rest and refresh. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom ideal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was a lovely way to start the day in London. The pub downstairs was a great place to have a quiet drink or eat some tasty pub food. The walk to Manor House underground station was less than a kilometre and very easy down Green Lanes rd. A great stay.

Wonderful stay. We were welcomed and helped by two amazing ladies from the hotel staff ( Ela & Dita) and great bar.

Great welcome by the manager and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, plenty space and good shower. Very good continental breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay at the Brownswood, it represents the real London for me. Thanks again for a great stay!

The Brownswood is a great place to stay in London, only 8-10 minute walk to the metro and with spacious lovely rooms very rare for London hotels. The rooms are well maintained and clean and the bathrooms is also spacious and modern. This hotel is located in the green quiet neighborhood and the garden on the property is really lovely - great beers and food! Very enjoyable in the evenings and obviously popular with the locals. Dita is a lovely host - made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was exceptional!

Good breakfast and easy walk to tube stations. Ideal if attending an event at Finsbury Park.

The room was very well appointed and cute. Service was excellent - they helped us up the stairs with our bags and were incredibly welcoming!

I stayed for one night to see a gig at Alexander Palace, really good location with just a short walk from finsbury park which was perfect for both the gig and doing some museums the following day. Was greeted with a friendly welcome at check-in and the following morning at breakfast. Continental type Breakfast is pre-ordered the day before but a good selection and was asked if I wanted anything extra on the morning, nice bread for the toast and pastries also tasty. Room was spotless and comfortable bed can't really fault it and would definitely consider again when visiting london. Just one minor thing to bare in mind is the road is a little busy (not all that unexpected in London) so no air conditioning would mean having to open the window so noise could be a problem in summer. Would definitely stay again for me beats staying in a bigger hotel for value and service.
