A very enjoyable stay, the room was beautifuly decorated with plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Had a meal in the restaurant first evening which was very enjoyable. Great outdoor and indoor space to have a drink. Poole is a lovely area and we thought this hotel was very good value.

Staff are worth their weight in gold and the Canford boasts some heavy weights. Take a walk along the nearby promenade and take in the surrounding area and its wealthy residents. Food at breakfast and dinner was superb. This establishment like so many other places is a dog friendly hotel and bar. On a damp day, your nose will remind you. I tried to plug in my firestick at the back of the telly but was put off by the avalanche of dust. Bathroom window is losing the fight against the ivy growing outside. Overall a good stay but keep the pet smells at bay.

We had a very enjoyable short stay at The Canford. All the staff were exceptionally helpful, courteous, and friendly (Terry, Ross, Ellie, Lena, Taly). Our room was an Accessible room (although we didn't specifically book one) and was quite large and very comfortable, with a large, well-appointed bathroom. Being accessible it was on the ground floor and very convenient to the car park. The room was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed two evening meals at the hotel, as well as breakfast both mornings, and the food was great. I have gluten free requirements and they catered for me very well. The hotel is situated in a very quiet part of Canford Cliffs and is only a short walk (10-15 mins) down to the seafront. It has a large outdoor seating area which I should imagine is lovely in the summer months but could be quite noisy if full. All in all a lovely place to stay near Poole.

Beautiful hotel/pub with a great location near the beach. The room was comfortable with all amenities and some lovely personal touches (the toiletries were excellent and the homemade chocolate treats were, well, a treat!) The food in the pub was also great. Will stay again!

I stayed in The Canford with my cousins to attend a family wedding at the nearby Italian Villa. The hotel was the nicest friendliest small hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the service at breakfast was perfect. I would love to visit again sometime and would thoroughly recommend it. My room had everything you could possible need in it - hairdryer, (and a mirror beside a socket which is not always the case), ironing board, well stocked little bar and tea and coffee making facilities, very comfortable bed and pillows and was nicely decorated. It was also well stocked with toiletries. It was a short walk to the beautiful long beach where we walked along the prom in both directions.

So glad we booked this place rather than a large hotel in the area that we were considering. The room was gorgeous with a big bath tub (we chose one of the big rooms). Check in was easy, staff were v friendly and accommodating despite looking after the restaurant too (special mention to Ashmi who waited on us a couple of times in the restaurant). Food is fab, especially the Sunday roast. We managed to get parking on each of the 3 days/nights we were there. The only thing to note is that the cleaners only do a “quick once over” in your rooms every morning. Fab stay and will definitely stay again and recommend. Location is perfect. We walked from there to Old Harry’s Rocks. Visited Worbarrow Bay, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and a vineyard all within a short driving distance. Enjoy!

Beautiful room and lovely food (especially breakfast!) but I was woken at 3am by someone moving furniture around in the bar area/restaurant so not the best nights sleep. I guess it was bad luck for me as I was right above the area where this was going on for an hour so will try another room next time.
